Wow!! Just finished the NEW 2-Day Advanced Tactical Handgun.
Awesome Class. It is a brand new curriculum based upon the "old" advanced tactical handgun class that they used to give years ago. The old one was one of my favorite classes at Frontsight. The new one is AWESOME. There were 56 students on 2 ranges, with each range often broken up into three groups of 8-10 students with two instructors per small group. Tons of shooting. Shooting on the move. Shooting in/around/under vehicles. Shooting under/around/and through obstacles and cover. Multiple live fire shoot houses. Some "thinking" scenarios with red guns in the shoot houses. A ton of shooting while rolling around in the dirt/gravel! Almost all of the students and staff were grinning ear to ear because it was so much fun... I will take this class 2-3 times a year without a doubt. Highly recommended! Must bring knee and elbow pads ![]() |

I was looking at the President Private Training Lifetime Membership Offer for $895. Can anyone provide more details regarding private training? How easy is it to schedule (e.g. do they dictate the dates offered or are dates open)? Can you take a skills test during private training that counts (i.e. like a private skill builder)? Can you schedule multiple days together? Any other helpful details appreciated. Thanks.

Yes to multiple days and taking skills tests on those days. Seems like they are pretty flexible in what you want to accomplish. As for scheduling, weekends and Fridays fill up faster obviously. It’s just first come first served. You schedule out to 6 months. Getting a weekend with one or two months notice is probably not likely. But further out it seems doable |

So for $895 you would be a 1 President member with Private Training - did I read it all correctly or am I missing something. Not a bad deal if I lived in NV/Calif area but still have a long commute.
Whats everyones take? |

I’m weighing the same decision. Remember, you get $895 worth of credits with the upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Are you allowed to bring a guest that is a Front Sight member to the private classes with you? lThe last deal they had with private training you had to pay extra for every extra person in class with you

No I believe they have to have private training as well. Yes you’re correct that in the last deal you could just guests for cheaper price but they had to come with you. In this new deal I would think you’d have to but them one as well. |

No concealment on the first day of each course. Concealment optional on the second days. No skills test for either course. Knee pads highly recommended. Elbow pads recommended. Have fun! |

What are the thoughts on Weapon Mounted Lights? Does Front Sight "like" them? Or should I bring a separate light? |

1. I can use my usual two handed grip. 2. I can light up a threat if I'm shooting one handed because of an injury or my other hand is doing something else. Of course, a major con of the WML is muzzling while identifying (rule 2 violation). Even if you bring a WML, bring a flashlight as well. You will need it on the range as part of their night range safety protocol. Last edited by nszzya; 01-15-2018 at 10:22 AM.. |

Note: You are welcome to use a Weapon-Mounted Light as long as you have a holster for the pistol/light combo. You cannot present and then attach the light. A hand-held flashlight is also a necessity..... |

It has been almost 3 years since I took it. What is the course requirement now? DG in 4DHG or SB within the past 2 years still? Lost my interest in FS as I got busy moving to NV, but now it's time to get back. Too bad it's still an 8 hour drive to Pahrump (from Reno area)
