10/22 adding a rail on synthetic stock
i want to add a bipod and was thinking a short section of pic rail on the bottom side would do the trick. i'm not fond of the barrel bands with rail sections.
in order to add rail to the bottom of a factory synthetic stock, is it as simple as drilling a pilot hole and following that with a mounting screw? or is there enough clearance inside to use a locknut? |

Bipods that mount to a sling stud seems less bulky to me... Mount closer to the stock.
Keep it simple: https://smile.amazon.com/Uncle-Mikes...ref=mp_s_a_1_2 |

No need for nut n bolt mount. Sent using a long string and 2 used soup cans
