As far as the grip goes, this is pretty much new. Unlike the sti and only a single stack. The option for colors hasn't even been mentioned since the first time. It was probably to "test the waters" so to speak and gauge interest. Or it will be offered later AFTER our initial purchase. To let those know who have messaged me, i have read and taken note of each one. I am still limited to my phone. Hopefully ares gets back to me tomorrow.

If Ares does not honor their $125 initial price, then they will learn an economic lesson when a lot of people back out. I, for one, will not buy from them.

The $125 was for the presale. You have to remember a single frame was $200 during presale and it's now at it's retail price of $250 (we've known this all along, ares gb#1 member here). A presale can end anytime, it doesn't have to run up to the day before the product ships.

OK, put me down for two frames at $125 (so tempted to grab more) AND put me down for build help or a build party. I'll also be looking to borrow/rent a jig.

What are you guys going doing for slides and parts for your 1911s?

I'm also interested in 80% lower builds as well if anyone is doing them in the I.E. area.

The Ares parts kits kind of scare me... $500 or $1400? Very little in the way of info and nothing in between.

I don't want junk, but I don't want to pay exorbitant prices either. A quality trigger with a good barrel and a nice slide are where I'd want my money going. I'm not sure I see the value in a $50 magazine release.

You have a point there but OP had been in touch with them regarding this GB and was given the price of 125 bucks for orders greater than 100 with no indication of deadline. Anyway I will let Jon handle the logistics with AA folks and hope that we get the 125 deal.

I feel as though the price increase will stay thought I could be wrong! I am still purchasing with group or myself. With this said, I still look forward to a build thread and would like to have anyone who may be interested in purchasing a jig together, (possibly more then one person) I would be happy to use after your done or vice versa!

Please PM!

You will probably have better luck contacting them through Facebook. They are always posting crap on there.

Keep us posted - hope we're locked in at the $125 price. If so, I'll probably bump my order to 3 frames and 1 jig.

Would like to post again that I am still purchasing with or without group purchase!

I hope someone starts build/parts thread or future group purchase with increase price.

Please contact me if you would like to purchase Jig together as this will help since I have to pay full price on my frame!

Please PM! Thanks!

anybody want to help me help a vet? I received a call (I dont know how...) from an old vietnam vet, living on disability, begging me to help him out. saying he could pay me little bit at a time, or trade whatever he could. he was in love with the idea of building his own 1911. I didn't question him, or anything. just listened. thoughts?

I'm confused. I got a request for payment... but where are we with this?

Is the $125 confirmed? Jig/slides, etc locked down yet? At $125 I want a few more.

Please let me know so I can send correct payment amount.

I too would like to wait on payment until confirmation.
I don't want to worry about money getting sent back if the 125$ is not honored.

Please see http://aresarmor.com/store/Item/rudius1911

The price has been increased to $175.95. Please confirm that Ares will honor the $125 price.

This group buy is a go at 125. I just spoke with dimitri, at Ares, who will honor the 125 for this buy only. The original group buy frames are finished and we are looking at a 2 week wait tops once we pay. So lets get this going!!!!

Oh yeah, dimitri asked me to let everyone know that if I am running this buy they would like to speak only with me regarding this buy. Thank you guys! I am stoked.

Batf did approve. Colored grips are NOT available. I will keep this open for about a week after the first is fulfilled. So probably about two weeks from today. Payment must beade AHEAD OF TIME in full. Im sorry, i am just frustrated. I have been answering the same questions over and over. Once this buy is finalized there are NO MORE 125 frames.
