Got it from the torrance location. They had 5, they were in very good condition. Mostly had holster wear near the muzzle. Of the three i looked at, only one had slight scattered rust spots on the slide. The double action trigger pull is 30lbs, single action was nice. I got a new hammer spring ordered.

just picked one up. Nice to be able to use the C&R+COE to not have to wait 10-days to take it home, and to use the 30-day exemption as well.

got mine at the San Bernardino store and the display model was in good shape with nice blueing but the first unit they pulled from the back had a dull finish and some old rust scaring. A second unit was pulled from the back and that one was fine.

and they aren't kidding about that DA trigger pull. Night and day difference between it and my SIGs.

I bought one today in Torrance. They do not have any on display. So I had to order one without looking at it.
They are blue finish. The picture looks like stainless. I hope I get a nice one

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is this a standard 9mm or does it take special ammo?

OK is this cash and carry? You don't have to Dros and wait 10 days? Or am I confused here on what curio and relic means?

no, this is not normally cash and carry.

C&R means that the federal government has decided that this firearm is collectable as either a curio (rare) or a relic (over 50-years old).

In CA, C&R firearms are DROSed just like modern firearms, with some minor differences. C&R handguns are exempt from the handgun roster. But other than that, they are pretty much the same in CA, unless you have a C&R FFL and a COE.

If you have both the C&R FFL and the COE, then you are exempt from a couple CA laws when buying C&R firearms in CA.
You are exempt from the 10-day wait and can cash and carry after you fill out the DROS.
You are also exempt from the Handgun Safety Certifcate requirement and the Handgun Safety Demo as well.
You are exempt from the federal Handgun Safety Lock requirement and can use the CA Safe Affidavit (so you don't have to buy a handgun lock).
You are also exempt from the 30-day rule if you bought another handgun less than 30-days ago.

Guess I can't get one since I just Dros a handgun on saturday and have another one on layaway till the 30 days on that are up.

Fountain Valley store has at least 5 left as of Wednesday night 10/31. Turner's will hold the gun until you're cleared to submit DROS.

BTW - you don't need a C&R FFL and/or COE to purchase C&R long guns from private party within CA.

Has anyone with a C&R FFL and COE tried to purchase a C&R handgun in LA city limits or its border cities like Reseda?
