I didn't notice any severe improvement over recoil though - feels about the same.
Actually, I retract my previous statement. This weekend sheared both bolts clean off, sent the compensator 10 feet down the range

I have seen many muzzle brakes. The only ones that stay on are threaded onto the barrel. If it is not threaded to the muzzle don't waste your money, it will come off.

Why do you need a muzzlebreak on a Mosin, they havent had one the entire service life till CRAPCO came around now everyone thinks they need to have one on their rifle because "the recoil is too much". If you want a mild shooting rifle buy a .243 or .223, if you want a powerful caliber you buy a mosin. Recoil is not bad, heck just but a recoil shield/ slip on buttpad. Thats the biggest problem with the rifle, the narrow Steel buttplate, not that the cartridge is some Ubber Magnum

same here. I actually like mine. same style as OPs. I think it is all due to people not checking it will all clear. All I am trying to do no is find a decent scout scope that is easy to adjust than that NC start I got.

Here is a pic of the busted brake, there appears to be some minor gracing in the inside of the the front shaft cant tell with my phone cam though cant say for sure it wasn't that way when I got it though.

this what happens when you get the bubba disease

Well, the reason I got it was because it was $10 shipped, and I wanted to see if it actually makes a difference. It didn't, really. So worst case, I lost $10. I have 3 mosins, so I'm all too familiar with recoil
