Brown doesn’t want to send National Guardsmen to the Mexican border because he wants them to deploy at the Arizona, Nevada and Oregon borders to control the import of guns and ammo, as well as the export of Subjects that have pensions or money in their bank accounts.

I get stopped every time at the AZ/CA boarder as I have a boat. They have that $100.00 fine for quagga mussel inspection. I even have that damn boat sticker. I have to get out, lift the boat cover, show the drain plug is out. Never been asked about weapons/ammo and I'm packing!!!!!

Me thinks you (and others) are getting the border confused with the state line.
They are two very different demarcations. And, have different do's and don'ts.

Not in California! Border and state line are the same thing. When entering California, you are crossing the "border" from free America to a state that no longer follows the US Constitution.

Coming into California from Las Vegas we don't get stopped. It might have something to do with the fact that we usually come back on Sunday afternoon so there's alot of traffic.

Last time a came back from Mexico I got the royal treatment. A patdown, vehicle search, dogs, and then they x-rayed my truck. This took 2 extra hours. Never been back there since.

Enforcing laws on the CA/Navada border is racist.

Ive come into Nazifornia on Hy 50 at Meyers, from Lake Tahoe a few times. Nobody even in the shed, we just drive around the shed to the right.

Lots of rumors that Nevada LEO, or somebody in LE, scoping out ammo and gun stores near the border, looking and recording California license numbers. True or False????

Guy made me exit the vehicle, drop pants and grab my ankles.

After he completed a cavity check he ordered me to pull forward to the border check station.

There is some truth to it. Mostly gun shows and Cabela's.
It is not Nevada LEO. Your not breaking laws till you enter California.
It is California DOJ and some College kids working with them.

Take care

Last time I was traveling from California to Canada (About A Year Ago). We drove to the border of Canada with our passports. Both me and my buddy traveling both have CCW permits. The Canadian border patrol did a quick background check on us and asked us if we had our CCW with us.

Not sure if it was coincidence or not....

He's right.
It's that professor from Berkeley on his anti-2A campaign. Gives his students extra credit to work the Reno area and report CA plates they see at gun shows and stores.

I haven't heard of them working this area, but there have been some reports of the Vegas show being worked directly by CA LEO.

It is Dr. Wintemute from UC Davis Medical Center and the now director of the Violence Policy Center.

As pointed out in another thread, since importing ammo is an infraction, the officer would have to witness it himself so one of his sting operations would not be sufficient cause to issue a citation.

He also does not have the money to run the sting operations all the time, he does it on weekends of gun shows and in summer when he has a greater chance of catching Californians buying items prohibited in CA. He prefers the Cabela's because it is isolated and people who park in the lot are there to only visit the store.

I'll be screwed when buying RTK dog crates, dog toys, and camping supplies out of state becomes a crime.

Whenever I go to Cabela's, I don't even bother heading over to the gun section. All it does is depress me. Seeing what one can buy in free America vs. what our divine rulers have deemed acceptable for us peasants to possess is infuriating.

When I'm working in Arizona and pass the Needles checkpoint heading to my hotel in Laughlin, all I say is that I was working at the PG&E compressor station and they wave me on through, and that's if they even ask. Most times they don't even stop me.

came back from Nevada last night, passed through Barstow at about... 9:30pm?

2 lanes were "green" and open, the rest were "red" and blocked off.

Not a single enforcement agent to be seen. No cops, nobody even waving us through. Just a bit of traffic caused by people stopping and trying to figure out why there's a set of empty booths in the middle of the freeway.

Does anybody know of someone that was busted due to Dr. Wintemute's activity? Can anybody site an article about someone that was busted by his activities? I did a few google searches and can back with zilch. Is this a boogeyman type thing or have people been locked up? I have witnessed CHP check points setup at the ag stations, but they were looking for fireworks, or at least that is what I was told. To be clear, the ag inspectors had nothing to do with the searches, the CHP was doing the selection of what vehicles were pulled over for special love'n.

I’ve crossed the Oregon, Nevada and Arizona borders recently several times with four guns and an unspecified amount of ammo. No questions at checkpoints.

With my luck, I'd say that, and the guy would say "OH COOL! That a-hole supervisor Thompson still there?"
