The CA handgun list is such a crock... it's just another form of gun control gilded to look like something done for public safety. Sad to see all these guns go off roster

And if I'm reading it right, at the end of the year and 1 or 2 months into 2015, pretty much ALL Glocks fall off the list.

This whole roster and micro stamping thing is such total BS.

Not like they aren't winning at backdoor gun control.

FYI, The gun falls off the morning of the day it expires. I have been seeing them drop off prior to opening in the morning. For example the last day for the Ruger P512MKIII (10107) WAS 2/3/14. It was not on the DROS system this AM and we could not transfer them today.

WORD TO THE WISE. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE EXPIRATION DATE TO START YOUR DROS ON THESE.

Amazing how many people think it's "only Ruger" or not aware that a lot of cool revolvers will be "off list" soon. Total BS! Ca. politicians are getting a ban without any new laws...

Now Down to 1,123.

Another 2 weeks and these will be gone too. If interested I'm sure Turners and others will be liquidating stock at sale prices.

Yes, they will be falling off the list.
Ruger will not be renewing any semi-auto pistols and by October 2014 they will no longer have any semi-auto pistols on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

seeing that not one manufacturer has submitted a new firearm that qualifies under the current DOJ mandates, which includes the microstamping, it seems more than apparent that we are either going to be stuck with a lot of older model semi-automatic firearms, or, revolvers, as the choices dwindle

until some of the manufacturers release some new model firearms, the whole effect of this new law won't really be felt, there is still some money to be made with the models currently on the roster

I think, for now, it will be "only Ruger and S&W", until other manufacturers come out with their new models, then, we'll see just how many back away from these insane California requirements...can't say I blame them

Soon the only handguns on the roster will be the Hi Point 9mm and Phoenix Arms 22. Stand by.

I wonder how small the Roster has to dwindle to in size before we can win a lawsuit against it as an effective gun ban? Where is the tipping point?

a lack of guns would still keep it in effect, because public safety.

I think it is an easy argument to call it a de facto ban on the 2nd if that is the case. Judging by the 9th's Peruta decision, they wouldn't have much a leap to conclude that and void the Roster as unconstitutional. But I am sometimes overly hopeful.

So I dont get it 3rd largest state. Largest population of any state. All gun manufacturers are letting this market go? Will this open the state to a law suit? If hand guns cant be sold here do to government restrictions, is that not a violation of our civil rights?

They aren't letting go as much as you think, plus they are worried about the risk some jack hole in the state government might sue them like those states that tried to sue gun manufacturers for damages from the criminal misuse of firearms, particularly in mass shootings. Many on the left still clamor for such lawsuits to defeat "the gun manufacturers of death who are the real money behind the NRA". More than a few actually say that and believe it.

While Kalifornistan is the 3rd largest state in *population* it accounts for only 10% of the firearms sales in the USA. Yes. That's right. The left-coast leftist progressive nature of the people (as we see in who they elect) tends to make them not buy firearms (fishing and hunting license purchases decline every single year in CA despite the population growth by the way). This is why many of us believe only the courts can save us in this state—the people never will because they fear firearms and anyone who wants them and they hate hunting and fishing.

I sure hope so and it is progressing. The initial comments by the judge in denying Kamila Harris's request for summary judgment were positively heart-warming .

Well, I found the handgun I purchased ahead of the ban - the Ruger LC9 - I can pick it up next week. My question is this: I qualified for my ccw with a Ruger SP101 .357, a gun I owned for years before I decided to go for ccw - but the .357 is a bit heavy to carry so I bought the LC9 and intended to qualify with it and add it to my ccw. Does the fact that it can no longer be sold mean I cannot qualify with it and add it to the ccw?

the Roster is ever more clearly an unconstitutional infringement and we'll win. I can't wait.

Can a gun that has fallen off the (Communist-socialist F'ing-Nazi anticonstitutional) roster be sold private party-2-Private Party?
