Does it get shot? Yes, all my guns get shot, but I don't go to the range a lot and when I do go I only shoot about 100-200 rounds through each gun. The Sig and Springfield only have 100 rounds through them and the Kimber now has probably 750rounds.

After about 750 rounds through the short time owning this gun I am confident with it and, is now my dedicated Get The Hell Up! Outta My House!!! weapon of choice

I set the target initially @ 25 yards and took 5 shots. The result 5 shots off target to the left. I need work at 25 yards BIG time. Not fun! 10 yards is more like it Head shots are done with my Glock 26.

This is my 1911 I built. Slide wouldnt even go on the frame when I started. All parts hand fitted. Still have to blast and park it, but I been shooting the crap out of it for a while now. I LOVE this handgun!! If I can see it, I can hit it with this.

And the sight in target for it.

I don't have a pic to post because I have a hole in my collection... NO 1911. That said, my grandfather passed away and I will receive a few k's from the sale of his house. Looking to spend 1-1.5k on a 1911 to remember him with. I want a pretty shooter. Any advise?

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

Ok I came across another 1911 that I had to have, and sold an M1 Carbine ('43 National Postal Meter Val Forget Navy Arms Israeli bring-back) and a Sig P220 for it - I really like the Commander size and it shot well at the Louis Awerbuck class I took:
