Default Broken Teeth...

I have gotten a few really crap barrel nuts from BCM that are going back..teeth are breaking at less than 45 pounds...also 2 from Windham..maybe some bad lots out there..just FYI..and yes..I do know how to install them before anyone asks..and I use Aeroshell..

16-45ft lbs is all you need. Over torquing potentially shifts your barrel changing your POA. Is the barrel extension shoulder (rear facing side) square/flush? And is the front of your upper square/flush? Have you tried torquing it slightly a few times, backing off, getting a slight stretch, then going for gold? I've torqued hundreds of barrels and only had 2 teeth break separate times.

How certified is your torque wrench if it broke barrel nuts from two different makers??
