D'oh! I got there around 1 pm and went to the long range rifle side with Black Majik. Sorry we missed you.

Exodus343, maybe next time you should wear some kind of Calguns gear or something so people who haven't met you know who you are. You need some way for people to identify you.

Also, won't be able to make this one since I will be at WEGC that Sunday and once a week is all I can manage as far as shooting goes.

It will be a few weeks before I am able to make it out to ASR again. Have fun out there.

Anyone go this weekend? I am pleased that I chose to not go out of fear of freezing--it must have been painfully cold.

I was there last Friday, early, and it was cold. The good news was there were not may shooters or the handgun side, wind was light and I shot well.

I think like the holiday season, 22-1 is okay for me to have a few trips. I just need to get over this cold.

Does anyone have a checklist of "must have" things to bring to ASR that they can share? I've never been to ASR and I want to be fully prepared when I do go. Thanks in advance!

You really gotta watch that place. Last time I was there a couple of college kids used up all my .40 and then talked me into spotting for them at the 600 yard gongs.

ASR is a nice range. I get out there a few times each month. There are a few employees who have a chip on there shoulder, but generally they are pretty cool. I have seen confrontations, but for cause. Some shooters leave their gun safety and common sense at home. Always watch your gear on the weekends due to the crowds. I shoot during the week there.

I feel like, 75% of the people who have guns there SHOULD NOT be allowed to handle any type of firearms until they get BASIC SAFETY drilled into their F***ing heads by a Drill Instructor THEN maybe, just MAYBE they can touch a 22lr

stupid idiots thinking they're operators and ooops they just swept the entire rifle line!!!

I've been noticing an influx of (unsafe, reminds you of LAgunclub) groups coming in.
My suggestion is to avoid them and let the RO's know.

I have heard from other buddies like Exodus that some are very confrontational (douchebags).

Get in the back of the line sir! I got me a hungry STI Eagle to feed and to make it worse, more might be on the way. 2011s are like 1911s: ya can't stop at just one.

Dude that swept us on the 16th gave me the old stink-eye in the parking lot. Bad attitude to have around firearms and folks who know how to use them. The huckleberry with the 'tude was shooting at clay pigeons and I don't recall seeing him hit a single one.

Too many range ninja kids with AR-15s. When I go it is a lot safer, nobody gives the attitude since they know I am the only one professional enough to sweep the line.

Anyone going tomorrow?
