Default New product for women

Team, as you know I run a CCW specialty store, and we are always looking at new products, developing products and evaluating new products. Yes you can do this with a belly band for a lot less, and Deb and out other testers have tried these yet, but they look like they are done right, even though I would prefer if the gun was not on the back. (We don't carry these you will have to contact the company directly if your interested) We thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks for the head's up about a new product! I took a look at the pants on the manufacturer's website. While I'm excited that people are developing products for women firearms owners, I'm just not 100% sold on this product.

The website shows the model wearing the pants with a sports bra and bare midriff. That might be just for photo display purposes so that the pants can clearly be seen. However, I can't imagine a woman exercising in a sports bra and yoga pants with her gun and a knife sticking out of them. To be blunt, men seem to enjoy looking at [fit] women in yoga pants; so, why would a woman want to draw attention to her weapon like that? Also, is the weapon going to stay in place while exercising? Like, how is she going to do dead lifts with a knife jammed up in her rib cage? Or squats without the gun wanting to tumble out the back? Or is this product for women who only pretend to workout? Is this product meant to be worn with a big tank or tee cover shirt?

Someone help me out here.

I've never been able to make sense out of trying to carry concealed while wearing spandex ANYTHING. 'Course, I'm a Boomer and, well, "forever in blue jeans..." But I will say that the point of CCW is to carry CONCEALED. If you are printing or showing, you stand to lose your license. Or worse, to have some Bad Guy take it away from you.

I guess I mainly associate "exercising while carrying" with running outdoors, in particular. Can't really picture it in the gym or (god forbid !) a yoga studio. But I'm always up for nifty new carry options. Yay! for GrantAR2, who brings us such interesting news and carry options to consider.

at the website: I like the pairing with the blue jacket....definitely flowing and not conducive to printing/showing. the look of the outfit would be wearable running errands, going to the movies, etc.

Maybe I'm just being "sour grapes-y", because I'm way too old and fat to wear yoga pants anywhere, except maybe the yoga studio. But I'm aware that the younger crowd, non-boomers, with toned bodies wear yoga pants everywhere. Kinda the way I wear jeans.

I looked at the website https://alexoathletica.com/ and liked the look. I especially liked the blue jacket, pretty useful here in NorCal and San Francisco.

I'm wondering about the size of handgun that the Alexos will hold ? Has anyone tried it? I imagine they might accomodate a Glock 42 or any .380, but maybe not a full size handgun? GrantAR, do you know?

Looking at the Instagram photos for this company, they say that the CCW yoga pants' built in holster "...is designed to hold 17 oz or less but they are reinforced enough to hold an IWB holster without falling down too."

The products look nice and appear to be quality-made. They brand themselves as "Active Carry-Wear"; however, it seems like only the yoga pants were actually meant for CCW. Everything else is just a jacket to put on and hide the gun sticking out of your CCW yoga pants. I think any jacket would do in that case.

As for the pants themselves, one of the Instagram photos had this caption: "I was hiking in a canyon over a mile and I had 4 AK mags and 3 shield mags plus my knife, flashlight and my phone! I didn’t have to adjust at all!” - @mrcphoenix raving about her second pair of Signature Pants. That’s how you #carrywithconfidence. #TeamAlexo #pursepants"

Wait.....what?! That girl had all of that jammed down her yoga pants?!? LOL!!!

Jeeze, how could anyone carry all that in yoga pants? I couldn't carry that much stuff in a BACKPACK. Besides, it's nonsense to conceal AK mags. You can't carry the gun concealed.

And OOooohhh !! She hiked a whole mile? Wowee !

I don't see myself wearing such a garment and carrying as well. Its my opinion that the typical tops worn with tights would imprint.

But maybe a 20 something might be interested.
