Default Adjustable trigger in Saiga

Yes, I know Saigas are legendary for their amazing crisp and clean triggers but I think I want something else. Looking at getting a Red Star adjustable trigger for my unconverted Saiga. I'm still not 100% on this, I'd rather do the trigger job myself but because this is my first AK and a non standard one at that, I'm a little cautious. I think just buying my first AK trigger would be safer and give me a chance to play with the mechanics. I know I'm going to have to cut off the trigger from the Red Star and thats fine.

Anyone ever done this? Before anyone says anything, no, I will not convert it to a std AK. I want the Sporter layout.

Wow not one person. Bummer

I've been studying how the trigger works all last night and today and I reading up on it and I don't think it will be that hard to work on so I think I'll just do the trigger job myself. I've done harder trigger jobs.

I haven't used red star but I did install a dinzag arms hammer and trigger in a saiga I had. His set was converted and it had a very good trigger pull when I got done.

I polished my trigger up a bit, helped a little. Still was very very long, but smoothed out.

Ended up converting.
