Now that I think about it, yours looks just like the TRP Operator, but with a shortend rail/dust cover. Very very nice. |

Here are some pictures of my first .45 -- a 1939 National Match Colt M1911A1, equipped with a Swartz safety, purchased from the great-grandson of the original owner.

like it or not, I will buy a Springfield before a Colt or kimber, mostly due to the series-80 safeties on those two. |

Yea, I know the safety is off, I had just cleared it, closed the slide and put it down. It's my only 1911, a '69 NM I bought used about 11 years ago. That is, until 12/4 when I get to pick up my new stainless XSE (my birthday present to myself).

Most of the Swartz equipped Colts were shipped to Europe after the Army began placing the orders for the WWII guns. |

Quite a crappy photo..... BUT.....
This is one of my SA Loaded Operators. Bone stock except for the VZ DiamondBack grips that I've added. When I eventually end up getting around to it, both of my Operators are going to spend some quality time with Yost-Bonitz.

Then there were two...
Just picked up the stainless XSE earlier today. The other is my '69 NM. Hope I get the chance to shoot the XSE this weekend.

Here's mine!
This one's my almost-stock (Houge grips) Kimber Pro Carry II. Not much to look at but she's a tack driver and goes bang every time. The two Benchmade's are my constant companions (thy've even been across the pond(s) a few times).

Say it isnt so, the trick is not tin, but MOTOR OIL!!! What 10w40? It still boggles the mind that it is gold. Even tin boggles the mind as a way to get the gold color. Wonder if they can do other colors? Would be cool to see. aileron |
