Wasted trip - Torrance store
I bought a stripped lower from the Torrance store, my pick up date was yesterday. I got there this morning before they opened to avoid having to wait 2 hours like I usually do. The counter guy scooped up my paperwork and took off. 15 minutes later he came back empty handed. "You're a day too early, your lower is on the truck and will be here tomorrow." Uh, too early? My paperwork has a date of yesterday to pick up the lower, and a few days were added to the 10 for the shipping. "The manager screwed up when he put in your pick up date, he should have added even more days to it." Ok, if I come in tomorrow will I have to pull a number and wait 2 hours? The counter guy didn't want to answer me. Thanks Turner's!!!

A piece of good advice...
When buying something from a store, and you KNOW they are ordering it, call before going in to pick it up. Especially if driving there is out of your way, or a long distance away. This isn't any different than checking the bad when ordering in line from a fast food place before driving off. |

I DROSed that thing 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Where is their warehouse, in Siberia? Next time I will call, but I've had limited success going that route as well. Basically it's a crap shoot.

Calling ahead doesn't work all the time either. I bought a safe at the Norwalk branch, called ahead on the morning of the pick-up date written on the receipt and got the confirmation that it's there. Upon arrival at the store, they checked the computer and everything seems to be in order. It was only after they showed it to the manager for final approval that they suddenly change their story. Allegedly there was a mix-up and the safe that was delivered was for another customer, and to come back in another week.
Turner's have good sale prices, but they have lousy customer service. I only go there if they have something on sale that i really like. |

Service is hit and miss, but sales can be good. kinda like other gun stores.
good looking out on calling ahead. My 10 days is up but now that you mention it my saiga was coming from the warehouse and it'd be just my luck they don't have it in stock. ill call ahead. thanks! |
