MV, here. My first time visiting the OC Chapter thread.

I want to go to the On Target events, too. I've been there once about 6 weeks ago, my only time at an official range, indoor or out. I usually shoot out in the hills east of Lake Havasu, AZ, but haven't in years (since the kids were born).

I'll have to arrange it with my wife since we have young kids.

I'm assuming the crowds and prices will be crazy, you think differently?

In RSM myself, just got a shotgun for sporting clays, anyone want to meet one morning at Rauhauges (can never spell it correctly)?

Would never go there. Lylte Creek is just a bit further. $15 for the day. They have Shotgun Skeet range, archery range, 25 to 100 yard rifle/pistol range and a 100 to 400 yard rifle range. I might be game to go up on the 6th of April. This weekend is booked up cause of the gun show and next it my wife's B-day. PM me if you'd like to go. I typically bring everything I got, Pistols rifles, SGs etc...

Why would you not go there? I had a lesson there, facilities were minimal but not bad.

I go to Triple-B off of the 605 and the 60 if remember correctly. I have family that live off the 605 and there are several gun shops and restaurants along the way that I frequently stop at after shooting clays.

I actually used to practice at SC Village quite frequently and I stopped one day at Rauhauges and I don't think it was intentional but I didn't really get a warm welcome...it was everyone hanging out and I couldn't tell who was working because no-one asked me if they could help me so I left and never went back.

At Triple-B everyone is friendly and they pay attention to business. The one instructor I did deal with was great.

Greetings from Mission Viejo! OnTarget is the closest and only range I go to. I've been a gun hobbyist for over a year now and still learning. I am glad to see Calguns has an active sub-forum for us O.C. gunners out there.

Dana point here, go to on Target about 1 or 2 times a month, couple good friends always join with their guns as well. We usually have about 10-15 different guns and calibers.

I would love to join but sadly I work that late afternoon. How far in advance do you post the meets? or are they on the 10th of every month?

Dark Paladin mentioned that above - but he posts at least 2 weeks before the event. Post quick because it DOES fill up and it's first post, first served until max (20 folks?). And it's VERY INEXPENSIVE.

I am in W. Anaheim/Buena Park.
Field Time's facility is great. Good people there as well.
They also just started a loyalty club and give back 3% on all purchases.

Garden Grove here. Field Time is a great range. The people there are very friendly and more than willing to help if you just ask.

Field Time is an excellent range! Two of my friends and I just went shooting there for the first time ever and I have to say that I was very impressed with their facility. It's a little bit further from me when compared to OnTarget, but not by much. The guys over at Field Time were very friendly and I really liked everything from the Computerized target retrieval features and rewards program to their ventilation system within the range itself. Definitely worth the extra couple miles from where we live.

Checking in from anacrime here... I go to the range about twice a month to raahaagues... I work second/third shift so I get there at 10am and I'm usually out by 1pm.. If any of guys are interested hit me up.. My name is Cisco.. I still consider myself new to shooting even tho I've been shooting for 6 years. I love drills like el presidente and a have a bunch of steel plates and poopers and stands that I got tired of lugging out there just for me to shoot... Having someone else to help me pick em up would be nice... so anywho, in down to meet up with any of you folks.

Hello all, New member from Santa Ana here. Just recently got back in to shooting and have been going to Evans over in Orange. It's a great little range that is close to my work so I get to sneak over there during my "lunch". It's a friendly little place and is rarely crowded during the day.

One more HB.

I shoot my Rifles at Burro and pistols / revolver at Firing Line and Field Time ( the latter is a Great Venue, very cordial, professional staff - this is fast becoming my favorite Indoor Range ).

I need to find a 100 - 200 yard range which allows Steel Core rounds...Any suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated.

Cheers..!
