Sportsmans Warehouse has several Savage bolt rifles on sale. For instance, 30-06 Savage 111 trophy hunter xp for 449. There is a $50 rebate on top of that. You could sell the included scope for some more money off and then glass it the way you want.

Lowes carries white, 5 gallon plastic, food grade containers for $3.98 apiece. Matching lids with silicone gasket and tear strip is $1.78.

Just picked up a bunch of the 5 and 2 gallons today. Saved 10% with my military discount!!!!

Good price on these. Pair it with a respirator mask and some swim goggles...poor man gas mask.

Seems like a steal for the servings. I can hardly stand to eat WISE since there is Mountain House... but it would keep you alive for sure. As long as it didn't give you a heart attack - way too salty.

Read some reviews on Wise and you will most likely not buy it. There is a great thread on Wise on the survivalist forum. The salt in Mountain House is for a reason. You sweat when you backpack and loose salt. They are now making reduced salt versions of their meals for long term storage.

I have one of these, paid a lot more than that for it - worth every penny. If you are even slightly considering a dehydrator that's a great deal on a great model.

Yes, I have that Excaliber also. Had it for quite a few years now, used it a lot, great dehydrator.

Haven't priced them for years, but that looks like a very good deal.

There's a world of difference between the Excalibur and what you bought for $40.

Ya, a difference of around $160 is definitely big. Mine dehydrates just fine, but I have 3 less trays. So I can buy 5 of mine for what one "excaliber" costs with coupons. So 6 trays x 5 = 30 trays for the price of 9.

Oh, wait, it is back to $250. So make that a total of 36 trays. And I wont feel bad when it breaks on me...

I guess it's like anything else, if your happy with the $40 product, then there's no reason to do anything different.

I had a $40 dehydrator and it was not near enough for my needs, I bought an Excalibur 3 years ago (on sale) and it has met all of my needs and I'm happy with the price/value. I have dehydrated so much food in the last 3 years that a $200 investment seems inconsequential.
