Although I trust all of my pistols (Glocks, HKs, 1911s) ... the Glock was the first one to come to mind.

For me it would be my M1A Scout. If I'm deliberately going into a situation where I'm going to shoot someone, I'd want to use a long gun.

I've always wanted a 2011, so hard to get a hold of one just to shoot even. No one rents them, impossible to afford and I'm not the guy that approaches people at the range. I'm congenial and always willing to help a new shooter or talk with a coshooter but I have never asked or approached anyone to shoot their gun.

Someday perhaps. Haha. Until then I'll just enjoy the view.

I would agree with you if the 2011's were not neutered in CA, when I get back Im going to send you a pm for more info on what the images you posted. Are those CZ top ends on 2011 frames?

for myself I used to be all about the HK usp compact in .40 but now if I could carry any gun it would be my custom CZ SP-01:

If I want to carry smaller My go to is a kimber tactical pro 2 it looks very similar to this:

both are great guns that work well for me.

Nope. First that is the same pistol, just two different pics. The slide is from Fusion Firearms. They cut the serrations and sight cuts and I fitted it to the frame after I cut the rails.

A Glock 19 mod to run a G17 slide would be nice...

My Gen2 G17 has been my home defense gun since I bought it new.

It has plenty of flawless rounds shot through it and I shoot it well. Most of all it has proven to be worthy of trusting my life to it.

Carry a Shield..but these tickle my fancy. I bought a matched set 15 yrs ago, not polished and engraved though...If I could carry these, I would. even have the double drop down rig...

But this guy will be coming home soon...( the RIA 1911)

Cant answer it with just one comment.

Trust, Accurate and fits the best - well to fit all of that criteria, I would say the shield. I 'trust' it, and it fits so comfortably. Do I shoot it accurate, well - not as accurate as a 1911 or an HK, but I shoot it well.

Trust, accurate and somewhat comfortable: I would choose my carry 1911.

For me, the HK USP 45. I've owned five of them over the years, and never an issue (well, one single failure to feed / jam in all the years, and that was due to a bad reload that didn't seat the bullet tightly so it jammed back into the case. Quick mag dump, rack, insert, gtg). Also accurate as hell.

The MC Operator is a close second. I have two of those as well, and they also perform flawlessly. The grip isn't as comfy as the HK because my paws are yuge, but they're accurate enough to comfortable hit the steel plates at 100 yards and eat everything I've given to them.

Yep. You really can't beat a revolver in terms of reliability/accuracy. If it doesn't go bang "pull trigger again" is a lot easier than "tap it and rack it".

My Ruger GP100 is probably my most reliable. But it's a dead heat between my SA Loaded 1911 and Beretta 92 in terms of comfort and accuracy.
