For entry level priced red dots, look into Primary Arms or Holosun

What product are you looking at...scopes? red dots? lasers?

What is the application/firearm?

Both are made overseas.

Strictly comparing those two brands without any further context, i would go with sightmark over ncstar.

The majority of Primary Arms scopes are made by Discovery Optics in China.

The glass on the 4-14x44 FFP scopes I have is good for the price point and sharper than the glass found on Burris' XTR II and Vortex Viper PST lines which cost about double.

The Primary Arms ACSS reticles are quite innovative and useful too.

The drawback is that the elevation and windage adjustment clicks are mushy. The tracking is accurate enough, but on 2 of the 4 scopes I bought, the windage adjustment knob stopped working, i.e. turning it no longer moved the POI at all.

One scope broke this way while still under warranty and Primary Arms replaced it. The other one broke after the 3 year warranty had passed. Maybe they still would replace it, but I haven't asked. It's just stored in my cabinet now.

So...the Hawke & Barska scopes you were so happy with before - which are also made in China - you changed your mind about them?

Is there any reason why not? I am not an scope expert. I just want to learn more before buying one on that level.

Is it 3D view? Clarity? etc.

I have a KOWA BINO value $1200, selling for $500 btw. It is like watching a 3D landscape with zoom mode. Clarity on night and day. Able to see the clarity of the moon craters with only a 8x33. I am not gonna lie. This is worth the value.

haahah. No that wasn't the position.

I am a noob in scope.

I see all these scope on OpticPlanets but have no idea where they are made or they all the same. I am just looking at review, but it doesn't help.

The simplest explanation of why not is that scopes made by the companies you listed are made for pennies. They are essentially toy shells made to look like optics.

They can’t hold zero and I’ve come across some that can’t even be zeroed.

If they are scopes, they def can not track.

You are essentially just throwing away money.

If you're looking for a budget red dot, the Primary Arms Micro dot is hard to beat for the money. It's the only sight that I would recommend under $100.

It's out of stock right now, but that's for good reason: it's a great value for the money.

Why do you buy $1200 binoculars but only considering scopes in the $100 price range?

I ask myself that same question. hahaha..

My issue is thinking would a $100 -$400 scope be the same as a $700 - $1000 scope. Alot of these china re-brand one goes up to few hundred dollars, but are they any good compare to Japan and German optics. I don't think America has an optic manufacture beside assembling it here.

What exactly is your question? If you want good German or Japanese glass, then pay up and buy the good glass & stop chintzing out on NCSport or CVLife or UTG. All those cheapies are made in the same factory, the only thing different is the last guy in the assembly line sticks a different brand sticker on it. You're not going to get Made in Japan for under $100, that's for sure.

I'll try a different approach. Why is your $1200 binocular so special? Why is it better than a $30 binocular? Yours is only 8x, I can get 15x or 20x binoculars on Amazon for less than $100. What makes yours cost so much? Why is it worth it? Is it the same as a $100 binocular? I'm sure you have good answers to those questions, and those are the same answers for why people spend the money to buy quality scopes.

I havent bought one, planning to but would it hold up as many suggested. Its the few review and not much review i am worried to invest. And very hard to determine becuase there some many, but only few i know are japan and german optics.

The bino i got it quality clear. It like a portable telescope with 3D layer. Image on an image. I dont think ur 15x can see the craters on the moon.

But it getting aomewhere. Hoping to invest this weekend.

If you are looking for a bargain RDS get a Vortex Sparc AR, or Spitfire 1x, or Aimpoint PRO, or Trijicon MRO.

Scope, maybe a SWFA 6x or 10x, or Burris RT-6, or Leupold Mark AR.

How do you like those moon craters? See any alien bases up there?

Can anyone else comment on PA glass?? REALLY? The PA glass is clearer than a Burris XTR or Viper PST??

Well I wasn't asking for you. You should check out the Burris RT-6 1-6x

It is a great scope with great glass for around $300. Beats some scopes twice as much IMHO.

If you are looking at those Bushnell's you might want to check out the Nikon P-223 series.

This or Vortex optics. They come with an awesome lifetime warranty on everything they sell.
