That is kind of neat looking. How do you plan on keeping it all shiney like that? It will oxidize and turn dull like any other polished piece of aluminum, right? Cool looking deal though, bet that sucker turns a couple of heads at the range.

thanks ! I plan on keeping it as a safe queen for now. I used aluminum wheel polish on it and it has a sealer. It is hard to see but I also color filled all the roll markings and fire/saftey in black.

Man, how did you finish that. I've given up my polished ar pistol project, i just cant seem to get the art of polishing down.

There is clear anodizing, but I'm not aware of any Type III (hard) anodizing that's clear.

Suppose there's always careful painting as well...

I cheated and actually bought the stripped upper and lower already polished out by JD Machine.

For now...it will be a safe queen. I am sure it would shoot awesome with the match grade bull barrel.
