Default Tricks or techniques used to mou.t a scope straight.

Everytime i look at my scope, ot seems a bit crooked. Meaning the crosshairs arent perfectly straight up and down or perfectly level when looking at the horizontal line. Any tricks soneone can offer to make it straight?

I use feeler gauges, then double check with a level. Hang a weighted line on the wall then confirm the reticle is level.

Thanks! I'll use the bubble and the string idea.
