Man I cannot wait to have the funds for one of these. I've been thinking about getting a pistol ever since I shot one. Within 100yds, they're just a blast... literally!

No Nothing out of the ordinary, pretty straight forward. I was supersized it comes in a plastic hard case instead of a card board box. My LGS said the Franklin Rep. told them there was no way to add a gas tube to the stock configuration.

the barrel does not have a gas hold drilled.

the only way to make it semi-auto is to swap barrel, send out stock barrel to be drilled or swap uppers.

i'm going to swap uppers myself as it is the quickest way and i can keep the stock bolt action upper untouched.

It's funny. We did have one dealer in the Central Valley that said they were illegal. When we pointed out that they are on the state approved list. They claimed it would not stay. When we pointed out that the State took our check for the 2019 renewal, they just got mad. We can be our own worst enemy sometimes.

The confusion comes from the "Important Information" that CADOJ posted that possibly forecloses the option of buying and converting a "Single Shot Pistol."

Obviously we are selling a bolt action repeater.

It's a bummer Franklin Armory has to be so cryptic when answering specific questions.

Ouch! I thought I was clear. Let me try again....

THE CA7 IS NOT A SINGLE SHOT PISTOL! THEREFORE THE SINGLE SHOT PISTOL WARNING DOES NOT APPLY TO THE CA7!!!

For what it's worth, I ordered a few days after it was announced and Franklin was really good about getting me my shipment. Did you order directly from their website and ship to your FFL or did your FFL order for you?

I bet if you direct message them with the FFL name they can tell you where they stand in the shipping list. It's first come first serve I think, I actually ordered three separate shipments on the same day and tried to space them out, that's why I'm getting some more December 1st and then some more before Christmas (I hope!!)

Our Sales Manager would rather over estimate the delays so customers are not disappointed. When I checked on Wednesday, I noticed that it is likely that we can ship every order (so far) before Christmas.

I cannot say what CADOJ will do next, but if they did go after that, they would have to go after anyone that Cerakote's their Roster Sig, converts a Roster Glock .40 to 9x19, or uses a Roster Kimber 45 with an aftermarket 10 round magazine.

Or the DOJ simply changes the wording in the recently issued single-shot modification bulletin, to also add ‘bolt-action repeater’ too, and Wa La no more mods to the CA7

You forget, we have a drop tested approved pistol, just like Sig, Glock, and Kimber. They can't treat us differently.

Dang are you all not reading that his is NOT a SSE? It on the roster. Those runs do not apply. CG just loves shootin itself in the foot. Bunch of Nancy boys.

I think we are precededing with caution is all....itís safe to this state hates gun owners with a sick passon. A manufacturing charge could lead to jail time, fines, loss of firearms rights for life, loss of job, etc. not really something most people are interested in dealing with or pansy stuff. Iím not saying I donít agree with you, but being scared is what this sick state has unfortunately done to law abiding gun owners.

They did not say that they were going after anyone. They said converting a SSE to semi-auto "may" be a violation of the law. Seems more oriented towards discouragement than any actual determination of law or regulation, much less one that they're setting out to enforce. And, in any case, it doesn't address on-roster pistols like the Franklin one aside from the fact that a conversion "may" violate the AWB; whether or not it would obviously depends upon configuration.

look, if you are that worried, just don't convert it to semi.

done deal. keep it stock, and it is 100% legal.

stop trying to come up with "what if's" and do the job of the CADOJ in getting more stupid regulations written up.

people like you that keep worrying about stuff like this is why the BATF kept getting letters on the SB Braces and asking if shouldering them was legal, and that got them to make it illegal to shoulder it, then thankfully the changed their opinion just earlier this year so if you sometimes shoulder a pistol brace it is ok.

Proof we can all comment on whatever we want if it's at all related to the topic at hand!

Is there a pic of the markings? Does it say "Pistol" anywhere?

cannot think of any good reason to buy this and leave it as is... why bother buying if youíre going to do that.
