Is the LC9 really that bad?

My biggest regret was buying an LRB M14SA receiver. Because when I ordered the receiver, my friend asked if he could throw a second receiver on the order, but when the receivers got delivered two months earlier than we expected, he backed out of the purchase, leaving me with two receivers, and no choice but to spend wads of cash on building two amazing rifles (with consecutive serial numbers) that I'm not willing to part with.

Don't really regret any of my gun purchases, but I regret some builds. For instance I built an AR-15 that was so heavy that it was impractical to carry so I stripped it down and rebuilt it a few pounds lighter.

Personally I hate my Umarex .22 1911 the most. It's not neccesarily a bad gun, It just dosen't feel good to me. It feels rather cheap to me.. And it's a .22 1911. I swore I'd never buy one, but I got it for 350 and figured I'd give it a try.
Ill be trading it for a friend's older Century AK47.

I was gonna buy a Zastava PAP Yugo M70 from Atlantic Firearms and have Turners's do the FFL but they (Turner's) told me that they cannot do FFLs on products that they do carry (and I was too lazy to go to Ammo Brothers or Bass Pro Shops , so I guess I bought one from them but that's when the nightmare began...when I got the rifle it was single stack (not the double stack that Atlantic Firearms had) and I ended up paying to get the double stack conversion....left a sour taste in my mouth for Turners...

RIA Tactical. I'll never buy another product from RIA or Armscor.

I must ask why. I have had 3 Armscor 1911s and they have all been reliable and accurate guns.

Got a defective Tactical, sent it back to be fixed, got it back unfixed, sent it back again (both times on my dime!) and got another defective pistol as a replacement (for which I had to pay DROS). By the time it was over, I could have bought a much better pistol for the money. I wouldn't give them a third chance, there are so many better pistols in the world, and would never recommend them or their "star gunsmith" Arnel.

Ruger Ranch Rifle (Mini 14) I tried to like it for years but it just wasn't accurate enough to be fun for me. I hear the new ones are better.
Years ago I bought a S&W 9mm possbly model 4609? (I sold it a long time ago) Also, just not very accurate. I know it's blasphemy but my Colt Commander is a nice gun, it's the prettiest pistol I own, it's the most accurate of the 4 defensive caliber pistols that I own. It just doesn't quite fill a nich as well as my other pistols. I tried to sell it a while back but couldn't get a good enough offer given my investment in gun, mags, holsters and ammo. |

Ruger Mini 30 - it wouldn't accept the hi-cap mags I bought before the ban. My AK was more accurate.
Beretta 9000s - Should have got the single action. I was new to guns and was terrified of dry-firing the demo model. Had I dry-fired it I would have known about the insane trigger pull. Pretty looking gun though...

I regret buying a FN 5.7. It is a great shooter, but too much plastic and way too expensive. I traded it for cash and a Ruger LC9. I was reading a novel and this hit man said the best hand gun for a killer is the fn 5.7 because it has a 20 rd magazine, low recoil and armour piercing speed.

LC9 because if the rear sight comes loose a spring loaded vertical plunger pops up inside the sight and prevents the gun from firing. Weirdest design flaw ever.
1860 army, 1851 navy. Too damned hard to clean. P345 Ruger. Fired with safety on. Hard to pull trigger. Too much distance from front of trigger to front of grip. Lyman great plains flintlock. Too many sharp edges. Nasty curved buttplate with sharp pointy bottom. |

i dont really regret these as much as i maybe would have gotten a different gun if i could go back and do it over:
my beretta u22. stock front sight is really blurry for me (almost any black/black handgun sights are for me) and there are no after market options that i know of. also went shooting ourdoors one day, some sand got in the trigger somewhere when dust picked up and the trigger break is a bit gritty now. i can't open the thing to clean it out. lastly the grip is a bit small for me but overall i still enjoy shooting it a lot. maybe my 7.62x39 saiga. it is probably my most "fun" gun, but i could have got an arsenal saiga for about the same price with everything already converted vs all the time i took to do it myself. but again, not really a regret, b/c learned way more about the rifle this way than i would have buying an arsenal. also found little things i like and don't like on ak types by experimenting on my saiga. |

Wow, there are at least 6 guns mentioned in this thread that I don't share the same experience.
Mini-14 - you can't expect it to shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yards, it's a ranch rifle! Probably one of the funnest, easy to handle, reliable guns out there. Taurus Snub 38 - Hasn't had more than 500 rounds, but never a glitch. RIA(armscor) - Just picked one up a few months ago, taken it out twice, ~300 rounds so far, no hiccup, and pretty damn accurate for a $400 1911. Make sure to use ball ammo. Ruger SR9 or Kahr - They are very reliable guns, however I can agree about the triggers being long. Mini 14 - I can't believe people don't like their Minis, especially for the price, you can't beat it! |

Well.... up until THIS past week, I had always regretted paying $1600 for a gray HK USC back in 2007 when other OLL/OLR items besides ARs and AKs started to become available. None of us were sure how much longer it would last due to rumored threats from the DOJ and a blizzard of FUD to sift through.
The gun is great, no regrets: and $1,600 to get one in CA was the going rate at that time in 2007. But I did regret the price a few years later, when the black version became available (everywhere) the FUD was over, and even Turners was selling them at $1249. It was one of the few times I overpaid for something for fear of possibly never having the chance to get it again. Yet, in a couple more weeks, I'll probably be able to get $2,000 for it if I wanted to sell it!! .

Mini 14 Target, Cali version. My LGS had one for the same price as a "regular" Mini so I took the plunge. All the accuracy of a Mini 14 combined with the handling of an Iowa class battleship. Eventually had the barrel cut and crowned to 18" and bedded it in an aftermarket stock. Shoots probably 1.5 to 2 minutes now but what a waste of time and money.

Glock 19! I wont slam Glock as a brand. My problem was that it wouldnt fit my hand and i refused to shoot it. I sold it recently at a loss. I dont understand how all the times i handled 17s and 19s before buying that i couldnt see this and i wasnt willing to muck up the frame to smooth the finger grooves. I call the unhappy experience a hiccup.
This week however, i regret what i just said.
