Does anyone have an opinion on the P320 RX vs. P320 X-Five for home protection?

I jailed this P238 at 8 am before leaving town today. Also bought me some high cap 7 round Sig mags with assault finger grip extensions and also some eBay rosewood ghost grips to replace the obvious OEM ugliness.

Looking for my very first Sig, and I think here is possibly the best place to ask for some opinion: my hand is on the small side, Glock 19 fits me perfectly while Glock 17 feels little bulky in my palm; so if I want to pick between p226 and p229, which one is a better fit? Is p226 going to be too big? Thanks!

i think newer models with the e2 grips (which smaller hands tend to like) are pretty much the same as far as girth.
lots of great info here: http://sigtalk.com

i'd encourage a trip to the LGS to try some out.

Find a local shop that has a variety of P226's. The CA rostered versions have almost every combination of grip and trigger combinations for you to try. If you are in the Sacramento area, I can help you sort it out.

P226 (standard) - E2 grip with thin trigger (smallest)
P226 MK25 - OEM grip with standard trigger (fattest)
P226 Extreme - Hogue G10 Piranha grip with thin trigger (small-medium)
P226 Scorpion - Hogue G10 Piranha grip with standard trigger (medium)

I have small hands too, but thin fingers. My preference is the G10 grips with standard trigger (Scorpion variant). The thin trigger allows my trigger finger to contact the frame causing trigger slap. It'll vary based on how your hand is built. Stating small isn't sufficient as individual dimensions matter.

The P229 only comes with E2 grips and standard trigger for CA models (at least what is available new). For the P229, I also prefer the G10 with standard trigger combination. Same for P239, P220, and every other P series classic Sig.

Feel free to PM me for more info. Good luck.

^ spot on, G10 grips with the Short trigger installed makes the shortest trigger reach and thinnest combo.

I’m in the Bay Area and can help you if you’re nearby, 226, 229, 228’s you name it and are welcome to try them if it helps OP
