Got a question since I am learning about these rifles. Almost all of these rifles posted have "an evil feature " (mostly pistol grip) yet most of these pics are shown with 30 rd mags.(Unless they have blocks in them or are RAW)
I thought the only way to use more then 10rds was to be feature less and detachable? or am I not understanding the guidelines completely?
Please inform us who want to comply

Blocked mags. Pre-ban mags in the featureless rifles.

I'm confused. I thought there was no such thing as "pre": or "post" ban mags

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=387409

"There is no such thing as a "pre-ban" or "post-ban" "large-capacity magazine", and it doesn't matter. Markings on magazines have no legal meaning"

If you possessed standard capacity magazines before Jan 1, 2000, you were allowed to keep them. The people who own those can use them in featureless rifles. You may not use them in bullet-buttoned rifles. I suppose "pre-ban" was the wrong term to use, as it refers to the Federal AWB of 94, where magazines made before the ban were still transferable, only manufacturing was banned.

Read #4 in the thread you posted.

Ok, so to be clear all the pics posted above with 20/30 rd mags are AR's WITHOUT bullet buttons and featureless. (ie RAW) Apparently that doesnt look like the case though. Most of these have pistol grips on them so I am assuming there RAW.

I'm sure some of them are RAWs, but most are just blocked mags. Now quit yer yappin', and post a rifle!

You can have all these EVIL Features as long your M4 has.........

1. A bullet button which only a tool or a bullet can release the magazine.

2. Can only use 10 rounds Magazine in your weapon as long you are in the State of California.

My Calif Compliant Colt M4 has these features...

Recently built - Franklin Armory Libertas Billet Lower + PSA Madness Upper 16" + Magpul Furniture.

Picture from camera phone, sorry about the quality.

Maybe I'll do a high resolution picture when I get better optics for both my camera and carbine.

Except for the bolt which will be here Thursday (), it's done!!
Stag lower w/ Stag LPC
Windham Upper 16" 1:9 heavy barrel
A2 flash hider
BCM 4 position stock
BCM Gunfighter Lrg charging handle
Unnamed accessories: Vertical foregrip with tape slots
200 lumen tac light on tape switch w/ laser, manual switch
MC2 Aimpoint clone w/ red and green dot 1x magnifer

Just finished up my first AR15.
FNH 16" 1:7 Chrome lined barrel
TDS Guns Muzzle Break
Troy Industries handguard and low profile gas block
Magpul ACS-L, MIIAD grip, VFG, and front/rear MBUS
RRA LPK
Young Hard chrome skeletonized BCG
Dez Arms upper
80% lower
Now, I just need ammo. The only parts I bought online were the barrel, LPK, and lower. Everything else was at TDS Guns and those guys are awesome!!!

Pistols below, SIG P229 Enhanced .40 and a Rock Island Armory 1911 GI.

Default essbeeAAAAAAARRRRRGG!

if only I could take a bit more off the front...........
Stag upper match barrel with a Noveske kx3,pinned and welded @ 16.1"
AFMlower with Rock river national match trigger
seekins 13" BAR free floater
aimpoint comp m3 2moa dot w/ larue qd
Magpul-moe grip, afg, mbus, blocked and pinned Pmag, and a ctr stock with LaRue RISR
Cerakoted in Magpul FDE and graphite black in my garage

Just foolin' around with some receiver parts I didn't care too much for. I wanted to try for an SBR "look", since I can't have a real one.
I cut and crowned the barrel with my friends tools and had a local machinist thread it. I blind pinned it and gave all the metal parts a cerakote suit.
She actually handles o.k. despite the big pig on front and the heavy barrel(still shoots good too)
That wasn't the point of this build anyways. I have nice handling AR's. I just wanted to make something enjoyable and amusing out of parts that I didn't care for at all before.
It was a lot of fun building, and IMO, was well worth it.
