Perfectly legal. We are acting as a distributor. A firearm can pass through as many FFLs as possible before final transfer to a customer.

Reason being those have a true Russian 100 series ak-103 front sight block. All the other ones use a 74 style front sight block.

There are some advantages of the 74 front sight though. You can use a bulgarian muzzle nut instead of a muzzle brake to make it more handy.
so whats the difference between these two?

Considering how popular these rifles are here, it doesnt make good business sense NOT to deal with Californians. Whose running this company? Are they even informed on the laws? It almost sounds like a personal vendetta.

How do we pay for these if they don't accept cards/checks with billing address in CA?

Send money to an FFL in another state, then he buys and ships to FFL in CA.

I would highly recommend using Henderson Defense as a middle man. They have always been %100 reliable in transferring my guns, and have always been quick as well. Never had my guns or money tied up in limbo. Not to mention they are close to k-var/arsenal. Last time I checked their transfer fees were pretty low too.

Can you bill our cards if the billing address is in CA? And will you be offering them for close to the same price as K-var has?

That would be the most expensive route. Cheapest would be Arsenal=>me=>you. That is if no one rats me out to Kvar.

We do not care where the payment is made from but per our agreement with Arsenal we can not ship their rifles to CA dealers .

So a CA customer would pay you the cost of the rifle + transfer fee then you order it from Arsenal, receive it, take the PG off then send it to our CA dealer?

We would have to agree with Freakshow it would be less expensive to only involve them & your CA dealer if you have to many people it will add to ship & handling cost etc.

Would you honor any little group buy thing where the CA customers order through you at the Kvar price then use me as a middle man? Is there any room there?

The problem I see is payment. K-Var won't accept payment from CA. So payment needs to go through a middleman. And by the time that happens, all these rifles may be sold. (These are being discussed on several gun forums.)

It appears that $500 is the everyday-walmart-low-price:

http://www.arsenalinc.com/sgl21.htm

Anyways, that's my excuse for not buying right now.

Oh, and it looks like http://www.ellettbrothers.com/ is listed as another source for these...

Elletts is a wholesale distributor and does not take retail orders , the prices are so new that no company is going to have these in stock at the NEW prices excpet Kvar , we paid $300 -$400 more for some of our rifles and could not sell them for $500 unless Arsenal comps us the $$$ , So all of the distributors and dealers with existing inventory that was bought in at a much higer price are screwed including our firm .

Yeah, I figured as I looked at RSR, Zanders, etc and they're all much higher at dealer pricing. Kvar is screwing over their dealers on this one. That sucks.

Yup, and customers who bought in the last couple of months are probably not too happy either.

As for Elletts, I figure that calgunners can call their favorite out of state FFLs and arrange something.

Freakshow , you should try talking with Kvar/ Arsenal direct and see what if any discounts they have on the rifles, the prices are so ridiculously low we do not know how they could have a lower dealer / distributor price. We are a direct dealer with them and they have not updated us yet if there will be any discounts for dealers or distributors . There are going to be a bunch of pissed of dealers & distributors out there that will feel like the rug just got pulled out from under them because they are now sitting on rifles that they would have to loose $350 on just to sell them.

I'm not really in the business of dealing in guns. I already faxed my FFL to them yesterday for a transfer so we'll see what happens. I will contact them on Monday for S&G. They are also on my list of people to visit at SHOT.

I say the Hell with Arsenal and their $500, the price is a really great price but they dont wanna sell to California, they lowered their prices so low, they screwed over all their loyal dealers. I just bought a SGL for a couple hundred more than their great price and i feel damm good about it becus my $ is going to Cold War Shooters, Pirate has always been good to me and given me good deals. Id rather support a local dealer than to save a couple hundred and a headach for transfering it all over the dam country. I say boycott Arsenal and buy up all the SGL from Cali vendors only... Give your $ to the people that are willing to sell to us.

lol that is an idiotic state of mind...people are going to buy from companies that have good deals. If they ship the gun to a middleman in a timely manner then technically they are good businessmen. A lot of companies don't want to dick with CA because of our stupid @sshat laws, and who could blame them?

Yes, their converted saiga 5.45 rifles are still hovering around 800, their bulgarian 5.45 rifles are now $699 (on sale), which is still a bit expensive given how the SGL-21's are 200 lower.

The SGL-21-66 with the Midwest Industries Rail system certainly looks nice.

Thats the idiotic state of mind, just becus our laws are bad, they dont sell to california. There are alot of companies willing to sell to us and its really a big loss to them becus we would be buying their rifles up like crazy. They are the idiots. I love good deals but not to a company thats full of *****. I guess saving $ is everything for you.. Not everybody is about $$ and I am not rich either. But I can understand why people would jump all over this deal.

By the way thanks for calling me an idiot

How do these guys justify the price drop for those customers that (by present standards) have overpaid for their rifles? Ouch... I guess if it's that great a rifle it wouldn't matter, but I would be pretty vexed.
