Default Sig P320 Slide Wear

Howdy all,

question about some wear i'm seeing on my p320. I've got over 1k rounds through her, and for the most part never use the slide stop lever to chamber a round. Maybe 5 times, if that, in the whole time i've had it. That said, I've got what seems to me like a fair amount of wear on my slide in the area where the lever catches. So much so that a groove has been worn into the slide.

I've tried to depict in photos the groove, but obviously its a small area to zoom in on. I'm more worried that it actually appears that the slide material is peeling outward and opening up that groove outwards.

Never had this problems with my glocks, many of with have 20K plus rounds through them.

Thoughts?
