P22 finicky about ammo. Tried many brands and only CCI minimags work flawlessly

Important note, the Browning 1911 22lr is expensive as hell, and it's an 80% scale model, not a full size gun.

A late vote for the GSG 1911-22. Like some others, I favor 1911s, period. I installed this kit (https://www.cwaccessories.com/produc...ecial-option-b) from CWA but went back to the original GSG barrel bushing because the stainless one was too snug. Pistol has been total fun to shoot and seems not to be finicky about ammo.

Thanks You for all the replies. I got the GSG-1911/22 and the NicTaylor recoil rod. A special thanks to MEANROCK to post the Nic taylor extended recoil guide rod.
http://www.taylor-tactical-supply.co...oil-system.htm

On the last week-end, I shot =~ 500 rds bunk SV and HV ammo NOT a single hic-up. Shooting range: 3, 7&10 yards
The pistol came with 5 front sights, and the tallest front sight installed on the pistol, it's shoot 'right on the money' with the tallest sight that means the pistol shot low from the manufactory, but I am OK with this.
The rear sight a little bit to the right, re-adjust in 5 minutes.
The pistol came with the tool bag of 3 alley wrenches, DO NOT LOOSE THIS BAG. One alley wrench for field strip, and the other two for rear and front sight adjustment.
For CA version, the muzzle wrench is NOT come with the pistol.
The only draw back of this pistol is: All the sights are plastic (polymer ?).
Final worlds: it's a keeper.

I've been researching this gsg 1911 and I think it will be my next 22 pistol.

Hate the plastic sights though-they gotta go.

Looks like these steel replacements are the way to go:

https://dawsonprecision.com/sights/gsg-22-sights/

This company sells the same sights but gives more info on them.
Apparently the rear is designed to not damage the soft zinc slide when tightened.

GSG all the way. But I did have to replace my rear sight! Still cost
effective, shoots all ammo I've tried--- about six types with no,problems.
Somebody brought the Browning into the mix--forget it -- reduced
Size 85% scale, costs almost twice as much, lose lose all the way round.

A little OT, but the two I've been mulling over are the Buckmark Lite URX 7.5" and the Ruger LCRx 3" 8-shot. I already have a SP-101, so I was leaning towards the Buckmark. Pretty cool that it has a 7.5" barrel and is so light compared to my Ruger with 6 7/8" bull barrel.

Congrats on your new GSG. CW Accessories is another good source for everything GSG 1911-22 related.

I'm about to buy a gsg 1911 or 922 CA models tomorrow. Can't decide which one I like best. They are both on sale for easy lower then I have ever seen so going to bite the bullet and get one.

Can't find any real comparisons of them both
