Default Savage Stealth

Found a good deal on a Savage BA-10 Stealth
Found a great deal on a Vortex Viper HS-LR
Gonna head out to the range Thursday afternoon with some Hornady 140gr ELD Match ammo and see what all the 6.5 Creedmoor hoop de la is all about for myself.

Shocking note: I hadn't looked at bipods in years so when I saw "Atlas" bipods for $400 WTH?
What could make any bipod worth that much?

I just popped a UTG bipod on the Stealth for now.

^Keep us posted on your adventure.

I recently did a quick zero session with my Tikka T3X CTR also chambered in 6.5. Only was able to push 100 yards and it is tack driver!!!

Handled one at dicks last month beside the ruger precision. I liked the feel of the stealth better. Let us know how it goes.

I picked up the same rifle 3 weeks ago.
Still waiting for it to come back from factory. It was 5 feet right at 75 yards...
Scratched my head , 4 trips to the range. I knew it wasn't my razor hd gen ii. Anyways savage seems to have good service, they paid for shipping. Hope to get it back soon.

Savage does have good customer service. They can be slow responding to online / email contact though, as it appears there is only one person handling the online stuff. Phone is better.

I am using clone of "Atlas" for $60. Just tighten up some screws and it works

Well it shoots great It does better with 140gr bullets (<MOA) than 129 gr bullets (>>MOA)
Put a Vortex Viper HS LR 6-24 x50 with a LaRue mount on it.
Nothing like high power magnification to show how much I need a rest to fire off of.
Nonetheless, I am pleased. .

Quick update for myself, apparently savage is backed up with problem rifles.. 8 weeks this week and no word of my brand new ba10 that was basically bent.
Spent near 4500.00 on dies, scope, etc. and still haven't been able to hit the range...

Added $40 and buy a Harris instead.

The copy is not reliable. Try use it on an uneven ground.

Update, 12 weeks later. Brand new rifle. Didn't have time to shoot a lot. But I did test fire 4 shots and it's shooting great.
Took a long time but they made it right

Not sure, but I think it is pretty much what you see. The chassis looks to be based off of the MDT LSS-XL as opposed to the MDT LSS / Drake Associates chassis. It also has an adjustable stock, upper rail, cerakote, muzzle brake.

In 9 days and 18 hours, I will officially be a SAVAGE owner!! Been looking at the TROPHY HUNTER chambered in a .270 for Minnesota Whitetails this year. Best price I found was $479 back at a place in Alabama (doesn't do me any good). Turners had it on sale for $559 (MSRP well over $600), plus SAVAGE has a $50 rebate. Of course, with all the stupid Calif. fees, it will be $650, but that's better than over $700.
