They come in waves. Sometimes it’s all about M1A, sometimes it’s all about Colt Pythons...

So I have a question for you about an AR..

All kidding aside, could be new gun owners exploring it as a hobby especially during lockdown.

I'm not sure if I asked any questions during my build. Just used the search function, google and cross referenced with the law.

Either buying a CA7 or PPT in the marketplace unless youíre roster exempt. Whatever you do donít get a ďsingle shotĒ.

I never understood the hype of the AR pistol, especially those with just a buffer tube. Then I built one using the SB tactical brace and a quality barrel and it all made sense. Still sucks having to go the fixed mag route.

I think more like they are realizing how hard it is to own an AR pistol in CA.

I'd have one myself but not in CA. An AR pistol with 300 blk with a suppressor would be my ideal home defense gun.

I think it’s a lot of first time gun owners looking for their 2nd purchase.

Good for them to ask questions and get exposed to how a** backwards our CA laws are. Hopefully this will help shape how they vote in the future.

Never understood the attraction of an AR pistol. It's hardly a pistol. It's big, heavy, and awkward.

Iíve seen plenty of stripped lowers in the marketplace for around $700-$900 yeah thatís steep but gotta pay to play in Cali. If you do in fact want single shot. Just hit up 2azone I think $425 iirc.

I really should sell mine. I've only used it once. I've had it before a long time and it really is nice. But it's really just a toy. Damn thing is factory built too.

I would also agree with the above posters about taking it out. I would never comment ever take mine to a public range. Say what you like, there's too much uncertainty involved. I'll play safe and use it only at a private property shooting area. But I've only used it once. And that was at twin sisters

I'm waiting to see if Miller V Bacerra will change things a little, at the very least you can take the maglock off after that, maybe. I find that I can hit targets at 100 still and it's a small package. It might even be slow enough to hit steel closer up. With an Endomag and 9mm upper you can shoot 9mm like the PC carbine and Scorpion. And the longer you keep it, the more it's worth unless something big changes in gun laws.

Yeah, but I’m not sold on being able to convert it to semi legally. Did we ever reach a understanding on that?

Nothing definitive. Just do the research and then do what you're comfortable with. That's what I did.

Lots of good info (and some FUD) here on calguns.

I’d advise people to shoot one before they spend the cash. I have a buddy get buyers remorse after realizing how short it was for him. I thought it was okay but I was also not fully digging the lack of length as far as points of contact. They’re cool no doubt but may not be for everyone.

Yes short barrels shine suppressed
Muzzle brakes arent much fun. Flash hiders are doable but still not as nice.
Supressed is where it's at for them
