Might be a dumb question but does anyone have the link for the application? All I can find on their website is the renewal form.

You have to request an application packet. Use the form at the bottom of the page to request it. The will mail it to you. You complete the from and print card. (I did it my self). And mail it back.

Default AZ CCW application

Go to the link referenced, then click on obtaining a permit. The instructions are there.

Just got my application packet in the mail yesterday. Where do I get the fingerprints done? Livescan?

Location may be helpful.

Any police station, live scan offices (some), even some CCW instructors provide this service.

I started this thread nearly 6 years ago. So much has happened since.
Got the AZ non-resident CCW Oct of 2015.
Later got my CA CCW.
June 2018 moved to AZ so no longer non-resident, and no more CA carry.
In a few months it will be time to renew my AZ permit.
I know it's not required, but I travel several States every week.
Thank you everyone for keeping this thread alive and civil. I'm proud how much everyone is helping each other.

I personally did it myself with my wife help. I bought a finger print ink pad for $7 for Office Depot. Watch a YouTube video and practice a few times. Then did it.

Curious you’ve ever had to show your AZ CCW to a LEO in a state other than AZ. If so, how was it received/was it questioned, etc?

If you happen to be in the Thousand Oaks area anytime soon, I am a CA certified fingerprint tech and will gladly roll your prints.

Does the CA hunters education course satisfy the AZ education requirement (sec N,2)? I took my class about 7-8 years ago, and I think I still have the copy of the course completion cert lying around.

2. Completion of any hunter education or hunter safety course approved by the Arizona game and fish department or a similar agency of another state.

Yes.
That is what I used.
I did the online hunters ed portion years earlier, then completed with the in person portion to get the certificate.

I travel through many States every week. That's a big reason for me to have an AZ permit.

So I found my hunters education program card. Does AZ DPS just need a color copy of the card (front/back I assume)?
