That will probably be your best bet. The uppers and complete M4A1 marked rifles are easy to find. Though the rifle will be a 16". M4A1 lowers are spendy. I've seen stripped lowers go for $600 alone.

My .02 is to get the complete rifle if you absolutely have to have that roll mark. Usually they are $1200 or so. They also make the version that comes with a black RIS II FSP for $1600. Then get a 14.5" SOCOM barrel from someone like G&R Tactical for $265. Get your Surefire flash hider and RIS II rail and send the upper and parts off to Adco to get put together and pinned. That's your cheapest option for a Colt.

If you get a black rail and paint the rifle nobody will ever know and it would be easier to find.

Primary arms has a black one for $350. Otherwise good luck on your hunt for the tan joint.

If you paint it you will lose nsn #. Definitely go with a 14.5" barrel though.

I don't think the black rail has the NSN on it. But I could be wrong there.

The upper I'm looking at all ready has a DD FDE FSP rail installed. just waiting on a response from the seller but I'm pretty sure I locked in the sale. Exactly what I wanted. 14.5 socom barrel with a SF3P pin and welded.

Get a BCM SOCOM 14.5 upper for 440 and hunt for a rail. Guys are getting out of the block 2 game here and there. Stay vigilant in the EE.

Just scored this piece. Off to a good start I would say. Going to get rid if the rear sight and go with the 200-600 rear.

Would the LDI Steiner OTAL be considered correct enough for a block 1? I know the IR version has a NSN number but I don't think the class 3 red laser version has a NSN number even though they are completely identical except for the laser module itself.

Not sure, every laser on a block 1 I have seen has been a PEQ-2a.

This is my M4A1 Block 2 interpretation:
AeroPrecision stripped lower (assembled by me)
DD M4A1 URG
Geissele Super Dynamic Combat trigger w/ flat trigger bow
Ambidextrous safety
Hogue grip
Magpul enhanced trigger guard
Raddlock bullet button
Magpul CTR stock
Magpul BUIS

Interpretation is correct. Nice gun, not block 2.

Pick up the colt lower tomorrow and should be receiving some goodies in the next week. I'll post pics as parts come in love this thing. The Sopmod gets me a better check weld then my CTR.

Some more parts came in today and this is how she sits as of now. Will be picking up a SF M600U and Tango down VFG, and colt A2 pistol grip. I was really tempted at picking up an ATPIAL-C but couldn't justify it. Maybe if I see a good deal on a used one.

It may be a while before i think of selling. This is my third surefire 4 prong. Ive got two on block 2 builds and this one is going on my mk18 clone so currently, they all have a home. Will look you up if i ever sell though.
