Default Sources for 80% 700 action

Anyone have a source for Remington 700 80% receivers or know of a machine shop that would be willing to make them?

It doesn't work like that. The shop would need to submit drawings and get a letter of approval after submitting a sample part. You'd never get one in time to beat the required application for serial number dead line.

I'm not asking to beat a deadline. I want to know if anyone makes them, or any machine shop that has made 80% receivers in the past might be game to try making 700 receivers.

There isn't much chance of getting an 80% receiver made up at anything approaching a reasonable cost, and having one manufactured by a known manufacturer may be better for liability when it comes to materials, heat treating and hardness testing, and ability to use standard Remington and aftermarket parts, This is about as close to an 80% Remington 700 action at a reasonable cost you can get. Still need to add all the rest, bolt and magazine, etc,:

or the same stripped receiver long action:

I have bought and built rifles on this complete .308 Win sized 700 short action although in the right handed configuration, with great results, currently out of stock:

Other suppliers are:

Happy building.
