Default Any experts at extracting a video from a website?

I took the family up to Buffalo NY for part of our Christmas vacation to visit family we haven't seen in years, and right on cue they got a foot of snow. So we went sled riding at the nearby county park. A local news crew was out (slow news day I guess) filming human interest stories on the first big snow of the year, and when I told them we were there all the way from Dallas Texas and it was my boy's first day sled riding, they did a short interview on camera, and it actually made it past the cutting floor to the 6 o'clock news.

I'd like to get a copy of the video for my son's digital scrapbook, but can't figure out how to download the video off their website. I tried an add-on for Firefox but all it grabs is the advertisement, not the content I'm looking for.

Any ideas?

-Mark

BTW, Here's the link, the segment I'm looking for starts at 0:39 and runs for about 20 seconds or so:

Not an expert, but if the clip is on YouTube, Any Video Converter can grab it.

I've used a program called Streambox VCR with good success.

If the video is on youtube, copy the URL to www.keepvid.com

The small applet is safe to install on your system.

This site allows you to pick the quality and type of download.

Many other sites, you can view the source of the page and find the actual URL of the video.

Some sites are getting smarter and actually use a small file to start the video so you don't actually see the real link. This is to stop you from downloading.

AS ALWAYS, make sure you can legally download the file.

Here you go - I grabbed it for you - you can download it from here:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/23618681/Wi...o-wgrz.com.flv

FYI, it's a hi-def file, and about 28MB.

You might need a player like VideoLAN to view it:
