Default what solutions available for CA compliant Sig MPX or Kriss Vector?

Hi,

Does anyone know of any solutions that don't require making these two guns featureless? (Sig MPX Carbine, Kriss Vector Gen 2)

Or will people be stuck registering them...

TIA

For the Kriss, a grip wrap and fixing the adjustable stock will make it compliant.

I have some photos of a nice featureless Sig MPX with our grip. I’ll look for them in a few days. Camping in Yosemite Valley right now.

Doesn't the MPX have an extra long welded flash hider that makes it difficult to replace and stay legal? Or am I thinking of something else?

I think you may be thinking of the CMMG Mutant with the faux suppressor. Or maybe the CZ 9mm carbine with faux suppressor.

Nah he’s talking about the original configuration of the mpx. The ATF ruled it was a suppressor so Sig removed it and put a standard barrel and muzzle brake.

I ended up cutting the barrel and added a barrel extension. Then used a Sparrow grip.

i've been searching for a AR Maglock type product that works for my MPX. I reached out here to figure out if one exists so I can use it instead of going featureless. If not...I'll register.

so you would have to break apart the gun to reload a magazine than to install a fixed stock and grip wrap?

wtf.

16" barrel ready for a muzzle brake or thread protector:

https://www.inleadwetrust.com/collec...sblock-carbine

But I'd rather pay $15 to register than $475 for a new barrel myself...

Yes, the MPX carbine has a 3.5" flash hider. The additional issue is that the threads are 5/8-24 and the barrel has a shoulder before the threaded section (not straight like an AR).

I had a steel barrel extension made that I pin welded to the Sig barrel, but then I replaced that setup with an In Lead We Trust 14.5" 1/2 X 28 barrel and Lantac Dragon DGN9MMD muzzle brake.

MPX carbine barrel end

Barrel extension design

Sig barrel with extension on top, ILWT barrel bottom

Featureless MPX carbine (pinned stock, Excile Backfin on Magpul MIAD, ILWT barrel with Lantac muzzle brake pin welded.

Bulletbutton has an option in you REALLY don't like grip wraps.

http://www.bulletbutton.com/product-p/mpxpmr.htm
OR
http://www.bulletbutton.com/product-p/mpxpmrkit.htm

I have one for sale(never installed), $45 shipped, if you want to go that route.
I went featureless route.

PM if you are interested in purchasing bullet button mag lock.

The regular AR bullet button will fit the MPX. It leaves an ugly-as-sin hole above and below the bullet button, but it will fit. Two years ago I PPT'ed an MPX with a regular AR BB. An MPX Raddlock now sits there.

If you do choose to go featureless, this is the best solution available IMHO.

Cool. A raddlock sits in mine now and I had to punch the roll pin out on the left side to get rid of the ambi mag release function. Now im debating if I want to run the Patriot release that people linked above...but time is running out!

Time is running out, but not. You can always separate the upper from the lower and finalize things later if need be.

Or just use a standard AR magazine catch.

I registered mine as mine is a pistol. I can keep it in NV but I want options ..

Regarding the Kriss, I'm happy to report that the Viper modular fixed stock, which I just installed today, fits the Kriss Vector II very nicely, and is super easy to install. Its FDE version even matches the Kriss FDE rather well. This, along with a grip wrap (which are all ugly) makes the Kriss featureless.

At least, that's the way I understand it.

Viper is located in Santa Ana, Calif., so shipping anywhere in Calif. is pretty quick.
