manually operated AR
haven't been on calguns in a while, but I am considering building a sidecharging, manually operated AR. seal the gas port in the barrel, and charge it, after every shot, circumvents the magazine release, and other BS, that California has...
anybody thought about this

Why not just buy a cheaper bolt gun? You could get a Savage for much cheaper than a cheap AR build....
I mean the only real advantage to an Ar is the semi auto feature. Otherwise its just a heavier less accurate, more expensive option. Just my two cents. Went over this with myself for last few months on an AR10 or bolt action build..... Ended up deciding on a bolt action

Quote:
AR = Armalite Rifle AR /= Assault Rifle AR /= Automatic Rifle (the M4/M16 are automatic) There is no oxymoron in a straight-pull bolt action Armalite Rifle.
