Pinky extension! Just gives you more of a full grip and a better overall feel IMO. Same with the SR9C I just traded. How do you like the LC9 by the way? I'm really considering the the .22 cal that everyone is waiting on.

Don't know the material its made of or how it attaches to the mag on the LC9, but fwiw, I had Pearce extensions on my kahr p380 for about a month or so. One day shooting the mag popped open and dumped everything out. The plastic had broken on the ear of the extension. Took a look at the other mag I had the extension on and it had a crack, just a matter of time before it would fail. Got rid of them all.
But they did help with the grip, although I'm fine without them now, and it conceals better.

I have a S&W M&P40c. It has 2 mags, one with extension and one without. Although the mag with extension feels better I can't see any difference in speed or accuracy when shooting.

I prefer using the pinky extensions on my Ruger LC9.
It does make a difference to me in grip handling and controlling my compact 9mm. 586L-Frame DLC’s Ruger LC9 9mm. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] x Last edited by 586L-Frame; 01-29-2012 at 2:39 PM.. |

Thanks for the replies.
I used to have th LCP and on that one I prefered the flush mag. I just got the LC9 yesterday and haven't fired it yet. I've been playing with it with the pinky extension and after a lot of dry firing I think it might be better with the flush mag. I'm suspecting that it might be more manageable because of where it fits into my palm. I hope to take it out this week and I'll try it both ways. |

Both feel good to me but the flush mag feels just a touch better. But I subscribe to the school of thought that you don't get a small gun to conceal and then hang extra stuff on it to make it bigger. I'm still on the fence for target shooting but I'm going to put some more rounds down range and make a decision to take the extension off or leave it on. I'm leaning towards taking it off.

I like that the non extended mags are ~$4 cheaper, too. Good for Ruger for not making me pay for something that doesn't work for me. I wish Concealable Control made a unit for the LC9 like they do the G26/G27/G33. They apparently are working on one for the 9rd G30 magazine. I've used them on my G33 for >5 years, great little tool. http://www.concealablecontrol.com/ Regards, Brian in CA |

Rollin' with the extension on.
it just feels better than without it...and it's been working for me just fine while shooting.
Guess I should try shooting it with the flat magazine, to know for sure... |
