Nuuze's Zev Technologies / Glockworx - Glock 17
Hey Everyone,
Since I see and get a lot of questions about my Glock 17, I decided to create this thread here to share to those that are interested. (Please excuse the cell phone pics, but that's the only camera I have) Below started out as a factory Glock 17 Gen3. After going over the options with Zack Gage at Zev Tech - http://www.glockworx.com/ this is what came back. Last edited by Nuuze; 12-12-2013 at 2:13 PM.. |

Deltasigma, after all said and done $1,906.46 (package discount) was due at the time of shipment, I supplied the frame. This was over the summer when they had a backlog on their slides. Once they got the raw slide blanks in is when I sent the frame and everything was done. Now I see they have some slides available wait times shouldn't be as long unless its custom cut/coat. I believe 3 weeks for stippling.

Thanks Craig! Yes, Zev Tech did the port and coat on the KKM barrel. Ports line up the ports on the slide.

Thanks!
Comparing to stock it feels so much more balanced now. I guess its the combination of the reduced weight on the slide and slight increase of weight of the magwell? Trigger pre/post and break is less and smooth. Acquisition of target with the co-witness iron/RMR was easy to get used to. Love the stippling compared to stock that digs into my hands after 100 or so rounds especially the front and backstrap. Here's my 15 year old getting a feel for it. Here are some 3 shot test the first day out after getting it back while zero'ing the RMR at 10 yards with factory 115gr WWB. Last edited by Nuuze; 12-16-2013 at 3:39 PM.. |

Hi Nuuze, that is a sexy gun. how often do you use it? is it in the safe a lot of you shot the hell out of it. I am in the market for another 9mm, im looking at either a glock 17 or 34 and customize it. or should i just stick with my m&p9 and customize that? i know glock has endless stuff to do to it.

I really like this gun! From the way it looks, feels and how it shoots! I've only had the chance to shoot about 500 rounds through it so far due to busy schedule. Ultimately its really up to you. You can post that same question on this forum and will get 50 different responses. I would go and rent the Glock 17 & 34 and shoot it side by side with your M&P9. See which one you like out of the three. At least that way you have a starting point of them all being stock out of the box. From there you can look at the upgrades if you wish. I chose Zev Tech for several reasons: 1. I like the way theirs look from start to finish. 2. SUPPORT - From the first time I called with questions, to the time of step-by-step ordering and after I have paid them and got my gun. They answer or return my calls usually in the same day. 3. Team Glock uses their guns. Like I said above, if its good enough for the pro's than it will be more than enough for me. 3. COST - To me, cost is sort of in the middle of the others. Sure there are cheaper and more expensive ones out there. But do yourself a favor and compare what you are getting. All I sent Zev Tech for my gun work above was an empty frame. |

thanks for taking the time to write back. i i have shot the g17 and i like it. i have not tested the 34 but im sure it will be a little better cause of the trigger pull and the longer sight raduis. but you have a real nice g17. i too like Zev tech and if i go with a glock i will use them and i have heard nothing but good things about them. i also heard of salient arms but wow the price is crazy for those. but you get what you pay for.
