I bought five cases of this ammo a few months ago and have been shooting it pretty much exclusively. I am very impressed with it, it is clean, accurate and reliable. I see no reason to go back to more expensive brands at the level of shooter than I am. Cabelas is great too, they ship like clockwork.

Agreed. Over the years I've shot at least a hundred cases of Estate ammo. It always goes BANG !!

I dunno about the other guys, but I have never liked Winchester shotgun ammo. In a pump it is fine I guess, but I seem to have cycling issues in most of my autoloaders. I shoot this estate and the federal mostly. Both are made by ATK Partners, so they are very similar.

It doesn't state the QTY ordering...

Yes it does, but at the top, not in the "What you are ordering"...

This^

Something about the Winchesters expanding and making extraction difficult... Might not be a big deal in Pumps, but not worth the extra couple dollars IMO.

A good deal for sure, just bought 1500 rounds of #8 shot last week, so I did the right thing and ordered 1500 more. FWIW that's the same price as Federal Top Shots at Walmart after tax, but having them shipped straight to your door is pretty nice.

Great sale. What's the best shot size for clays (7 1/2, 8 or 9)? Also, what are handicap loads for?

9's are the smallest, but an oz has more of them. 7.5's are the biggest, but an oz has less of them.

Most skeet guys shoot 9's, most trap guys shoot 7.5's, I shoot 8's at everything.

Handicap loads have the most powder, the most recoil, and the fastest shot.

You can't go wrong with 1oz of 8's going 1180 or 1235.

1 1/8 oz has too much recoil for me.
