Looks nice and much cheaper that than the Costa/Larue cabine but can we (Californians) get it?

Last I heard is that BCM will not ship to CA and that you would have to go through their distributors.

That's what they told me when I emailed about buying a BCM lower. They recommended I go through G&R Tactical.

Looks like a very 'clean' design. I like it! Especially modular hand guard types.

So it's a 16" BCM midlength with a Geissele rail, BCM pistol grip, sopmod type stock that's all I can come up from the picture.

What's interesting is that it seems like they got at least that handguard custom done by Geiselle. They have one listed on their website, but it's for the HK 416.

Not to talk down on Costa, but it seems like Haley put more effort into this rifle than the Costa special PredatOBR. I'd love the transcript of the phone call between them when this little project was decided.
Still, it's awesome that there are these personalities product development and being so vocal about evolving tactics. I know there have always been skilled instructors working with manufacturers, but not a lot of them are nearly effective at utilizing modern media as Costa, Haley, and not to be outdone, Vickers.

It'd be nice if fat cats at Colt were thinking about tactics. The last big innovation at Colt was tacking a hefty heat sink onto an automatic M4 and hoping it'd make a good IAR.

you got me there. I don't think it was a really good idea but it was definitely a different type of product. Okay, I take it back. Thanks for reminding me about the CM901.

Also wanted to say that the marketing material seems to imply the light comes with the rifle...

Ya I guess you get everything in the picture.

You kind of get that Travis's concept was along the lines of a working gun vs Chris's concept was more of a 3 gun/tactical gun.

Rail looks a lot like the one Geissele makes for the HK416/MR556. . . sans the built in QD socket:

It is a custom 10" geissele rail. They usually come in 9 or 13.5 only.

G&R thinks they will retail for around 2k. Considering the cerakote, assembly, wml, trigger, rail, stock etc. you aren't over paying that much.

I had just seen the build vid and to be honest it sounds lagit. Pricing on this for a custom defensive rifle is not that bad. I have seen a few out there and they are over priced and built for target shooting.... this is a streight up Gunfighters tool. Do not get me wrong... I am sure you can get something comparable but to have a combat Marine work on this project with the mindset and training in mind... I am sure he covered all the bases without compromising quality. Just my thoughts.

I know I cannot afford one but sure would like to have one.

It looks decent, but there is no way I would buy a rifle for $2300 that has a $65 ALG trigger group. Although the light and mount add about $200 to the build, but I don't care for that light. BCM/Haley fanboys will eat it up though.

Who makes the parts BCM assembles and sells (other then the charging handle)?

It would be an interesting exercise figuring how much this costs when the same parts are sourced elsewhere.

I know the Geissele rail is $350 (for the HK 10.5" version")
