You're coming down just for this local match? You are a true 3-gunner, man! The stages aren't up on the website yet so will be later this week. Welcome and have fun!

Yes there is a match on the 18th. We will be there on the 17th setting up if you want a sneak peak at the stages and if this is your first time to the range it's not a bad idea.

November 18th,

I think the hot weather is gone, we will get just enough rain to keep the dust down and it should be a good match.

Please arrive early so we can get started on time this is the first month shooting with the time change, so keep that in mind.
Remember, there is no water or food at the range. Make sure you pack water and a snack, it makes the day a whole lot nicer .

You will need the usual compliment of ammo. 200 Rifle, 100 Birdshot 10 Slugs, 150 Pistol, etc....

For you first timers, please do not bring any steel core or armor piercing ammo to the range it is not allowed and is dangerous!

You will need a sling this month for your rifle as well.

Please let everyone you know about bringing a sling.

The stages are listed below and they will be on the website by this evening

www.x3multigun.com

See you on Sunday!

MATCH CANCELED!

I just got back from the range and it looks like the rain gods win again.
We waited until about 11:00 am and it was still raining, the ground got to muddy to set up let alone shoot.
We'll try again next month.

Well I plan on trying again in January or February, weather permiting. I also plan on shooting the March match on my way down to Superstition Mountain's MultiGun match

It wasn't a wasted trip, went to Angeles Shooting Ranges and got to shoot out to 600 yards for the first time.

See you guys sooner then later hopefully.

Just curious..where in Norcal are ya and is this Oleg (he drove down too)? Only reason I ask is that they do have some 3-gun up there in Richmond, SLOSA and Sac Valley.
And I wasn't kidding about that Norco SSA steel match. Me and some buddies usually hit that match before we go to a major because we can practice with our pistols and reloading and shooting our shotguns at tons of steel. A lot of major matches are going to that format so it's great practice.

Well, I'm in the NorCal Bay Area. I go to the Richmond matches and I just shot the NCPS Thanksgiving Bi-Gun and the pistol match the next day Sunday, it was fun.

If your coming up to a match let me know, I will try and make it. I work some weekends so can't make every match

Bad News Guy!

I have to cancel the match. If you have been around at all you know that I am fighting a shoulder injury and trying to get a date for surgery.

Well I get cut on the 13th of December, (not Friday)

I will be in no shape to even get out to the range that weekend, so I think it is best that we all just concentrate on Christmas and loading ammo!

I hope to see everyone in January.

Please pass this along to everyone you know

X3 MATCH FOR DECEMBER 16TH
CANCELED!

Default very interested

Hello,

I am very interested in 3 gun match!

I have a stock Benelli M4, a Berreta M9 (only 2 magazines), and a SCAR17 and Eotech with only 1 magazine. What else do I need ? (a sling what kind is best?)

Do i need to register for ALL the matches or can I come first to a match and then get advices from people ?

I am located in EastBay of San Francisco. Where are the matches ? anyone in this area so we could meet and talk ? maybe at Chabot Range ?

Cheers

Thanks

Piru is located in So Cal, outside of Los Angeles. I'm sure someone will chime in with matches closer to your area, but you are welcome to join us if you are willing to travel.

About your gear, start with what you have. You'll just need to get a few more mags for now. Figure about enough to shoot 60rds per stage.

Once you get to your first match, you'll start to see what others use and where you would like to start spending your money. I would suggest doing so slowly and upgrading when you feel it is necessary to improve your skill and gaming.

I started off using a pump Winchester 1300 and a Dissapator AR with iron sights; and I had a blast.

Good luck. You can PM me with questions if you like.

Happy New Years Guys!

Were finally going to get a match in. The weather looks great 77 degrees, you can't beat it. I got some great stages for you guys, don't go by what you see on the internet, it changes and will change again before were done.
I am trying to bump the Rifle count a little bit for you guys, I know everyone likes to shoot the Rifle. I'm also trying not to just turn it into a waste of ammo either. We'll see.

You will need a sling this month, up on the shredder you will shoot the 3 targets on the hill empty the Rifle, sling it, transition to pistol, safe the Pistol, the back to the Rifle. It should be fun.

I bought a new target, I had Ron Jung make me one of his Dueling Trees and it is in the match on stage 2. It will be cool, I wish I was shooting.

We get to shoot Rifle at steel on the Jungle Run. The ground is wet enough and things are starting to turn green.

The rest you will have to wait or check out the stages below.

Please get there early, I'm expecting a good turn out and if you want to shoot with your buddies get there early! I'm not going to allow a giant squad of 15 people. So don't be upset with me on Sunday when I tell you no.

I have had a lot of inquires from new or first time shooters, please help them and make their first experience a good one. This is how we grow the sport.

Remember, No steel core or steel jacketed ammo, if I catch you with it, I send you home!.

Also bring plenty of water, snacks, food and what ever else you will need, there is no place to purchase anything up there. Did I mention to bring water! Did I mention to bring water! Bring Water!!!!

As most of you know I had surgery on my right shoulder and am unable to lift anything. I am relying on you guys, I have 6 or 7 guys coming out Saturday to help, but I could always use more. If you are not doing anything please come out and help me.
On another note Frito's dad took a turn for the worse and he will be unable to be here and help me either. Please remember him and his dad in your prayers.

Thanks and I will see you this weekend.

Spread the word, The second amendment is not about Duck Hunting.

Sam,

If these are the instructions that will be posted at each bay, stage 3 (bay 6) may need a correction. Top says 22 birdshot, but the instructions say to use pistol. I see flying clays on the diagram...so I'm guessing the 22 birdshot on the top is correct....unless you want us shooting at flying clays with pistols. =)

Yeah that incorrect. I'm headed out to the range right now, I'll fix it there with any other mistakes I find. Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for a really enjoyable match yesterday. First time out at 3 gun and I have to say it was even more fun than I expected. Thanks Sam, for putting me in a great group for a newbie; and thanks to everyone in my squad for being so helpful and patient. For people who are hesitant to come out to the matches because - well let's be honest, the whole prospect can be a little intimidating - I can only say I found everyone very supportive of a first-timer. To the point where squad members were loaning me gear and even re-loading my limited number of magazines during stages where I needed more rounds. I had a great time - I'd bet you will too
