What other faves? Hot cars? I drive a Mustang convertible, 13 years old and still cookin'. There's nothing else out there I want, under $ 100 K.

I'm all-grain, I converted an orange cooler from Home Depot for a mash/lauter tun. It isn't much more difficult, but it does add a couple hours onto the whole process.

The recent heat wave(s) have made me quite sad -- I have no climate control in my house so the most recent batch went bad (100 degrees in my apartment for 3+ days in a row.) I have a minifridge I converted for lagering, but there's no way I'd have been able to fit all the finished beer in it even if that had occurred to me.

In future, I guess I'll have to limit my homebrew stockpile to the winter, or only in quantities I can refrigerate if I need to.

I also love scuba; I'm going to Cortez Bank (if weather permits), Palau, and Bonaire in the next several months.

I also like little side projects -- I've been making my own Arduino board to mess around with programming. So far I've printed and etched the circuit board, but I haven't had time to drill holes and mount the components yet. Too much work and school.

No worries here, I'm single too; I love shopping openly for some things (like electronics) and the rest of who/what I shop for I prefer not to commit to a public forum

I did Duracoat my AMD-65 in turquoise with lavender flower decals. Do I at least get some points back since I both built and painted it myself? It has been a pretty good draw with kids and younger women at the gun show I've brought it to for the Calguns booth. I will have to dig up some pictures of it, because it is exactly as garish as it sounds. Maybe even worse!

I am not a fan of pink so I don't own much in pink.

I love pink shirts, pinkd dress shirts on my husband, pink babies and pink cupcakes. I don't like pink on my guns nor my cars.

Let's see, I have a Mustang, too. I can't drive it right now, so it's in storage waiting for me. I also like to talk jewelry, purses, good beer and other drinks, gardening......

I have a lot of jewelry but I only wear my watch, my wedding set and a custom gold key necklace that Bill bought me after we got married. I have some of my mom's jewelry but I don't wear it and I have diamond necklaces and earrings but I don't wear those either. I'm pretty simple.

my jewelry? simple but quality.
actually, i'm going to be getting rid of most of my impulse/fun/haven't worn in years/costume jewelry.
recently bought a pair of 1 carat rose cut diamond set in 18k gold earrings that are almost 100 years old. love wearing them.
eta: they are stunning with my new to me smith and wesson 3953!

Sorry to but into the wrong forum. New post button, but what did I miss? What thread were there problems in? I like to know who the trolls are to avoid associating with them. Plus I need something to distract me from the Jake Evans thread and phone call.

I had a ton of jewelry from when I worked outside the home and had to dress professionally but I went through my jewelry box and donated it all to a womens shelter along with all my business clothes and most of my shoes. I think all those years of having to dress a certain way is the reason I am totally casual now. LOL

i so relate to that, Bugs.....
i just do not dress up any more or for any reason.
casual and comfortable.
also, must be able to machine wash....no dry cleaning, thank you very much.
if i find something that works for me, i buy multiples...usually in different colors.
my jewelry is way more expensive than my clothing.....and i'm really ok with that.
so it does leave me with more discretionary $ for guns and ammo!
win win in my book!

I didn't have time to do much shopping, but I did finish three days at the Vacaville Home & Garden Show in Vacaville. It was nice in that we had the CRPA booth with Dave Adams, my CCW instructor out of Solano County. Two booths over was Center Mass, another friend.

Center Mass is where we shoot. I took my training with Frasier though. Going in to Center Mass tomorrow to pay for Riley's shotgun.

And yet again, here we teaching men how to watch football while their S.O. shops for her own dang handgun.

I don't mind helping these guys, when they want to know what handgun to choose for their wives, because it helps their ladies at the end of the day.

But why can't these guys read the dang sticky at the top of the forum that tells them how to get her to choose her own freaking handgun?. Note that the previous sentence does not include "let her buy a gun". Because she's a grown up and can perfectly well buy a house or run a business competently.

Ranting, sorry, but I get tired of this stuff.

New topic: My new favorite obsession is figuring out how to zero a scope by myself. (that means all alone without anyone helping me)

Anyone got anything good to talk about, that involves women and guns?

Real men aren't afraid of pink. They wear it well and with confidence. Just rock it Matt, it is only a color.

So, what's the favorite subject today?

Mine is "men who cook". Is there any substitute for a man who can cook, and will?

This thread has cracked me up!! I love both my zebra print and my leopard print. I have more leopard now, although my CCW purse will be zebra print. However, I have to get a CCW permit first in this god-forsaken county of Santa Cruz. I have one for South Dakota, but will be trying to get one here soon. I know, I know, it is next to impossible, but worth a try. I got tickled at the Weight Watchers comment bc I am a WW leader, so it has been all about the chicken for me instead of fish.

My ongoing subject lately though has been cheerleading. I coach a high school cheer squad and it is basketball tournament season, so Mon-Fri (since last June) we have either practiced or had games. Now..after the next few weeks, we will have 2 whole months off. What will I do? I know...go shooting!! Yea!! I will have lot's more time to go to the range and set up my Ladies Shoots. Yep...pretty darn excited about that. Me and my new Glock 19 are going to become one many times over the next few months. I am joining the same gun club my hubby and father-in-law belong to and can' wait! Of course, I will be sporting my "soon to have" leopard print gloves and shooting glasses. My high karat gold jewelry goes on before and after shooting. Still got to look good when we go to lunch after the range.

Yep...going out to eat bc I don't cook a whole lot. Thank goodness my husband does!! And no Bonnie...nothing better than a man who can, and is willing to, cook.

Either of my boys. Josh makes some OUTRAGEOUS combinations and at family functions and get together's, he is the cook. Riley makes a MEAN grilled cheese. LOL The both LOVE to cook and Riley has gotten to where he will go through my cookbooks(I am a cookbook addict), pick something and then put the grocery items in my iPhone grocery list app. LMAO But alas, Josh hits Ft Jackson SC next Sunday(24th) and gone for at least 6mo and Riley is not yet 15. LOL

X2 on the post about guys buying guns for their SOs. I've delved into that topic at some length already.

As to "having something good to talk about involving women and guns", here goes:

I get ready to turn in for the night.

"knock knock"

12:47 AM

Either its the ATF or the cops. No friends of mine are sober at this hour on a Friday. I open the door and ...o hai, cute acquaintance. She curtly says I'm going back to her place that night, and persuades me to see her point of view.

I walk into her room to see a gigantic "OBAMA 2012" poster on the wall. Oh gawd, I'm carrying my pistol in a shoulder rig I remember. This is gonna end badly. Welp, I'm already here. May as well see what the end's going to be.

Did the cops get called? Did I finish the night at home because I freaked out the lady?

NEIN.

In point of fact the woman not only didn't freak at the sight of my 9mm in the Miami Classic II holster rig, she made it clear that was the ONLY thing I was going to wear in her presence. Yes ma'am.

Moral of the story: listen to the pros. Carry concealed 24/7.

now that's a reversal from "the problem" you've had in the past, Silver!

me? what's new re guns? not much.........i am feeling a bit smug, however, because i had the foresight to get the guns i wanted when they showed up for sale AND i bought ammo for them! the only thing i'm "light" on is 9mm..........

i think my new motto is going to be "hording is a virtue".........
