Picked this up from Turners when it was on sale for $499. Gave it a hogue grip, and a super fancy home depot 3 hour wood finish job.

My unconverted 7.62 Saiga I picked up a few weeks ago. I've put about 400 rounds down range with it, so much fun! My dad forgot he got this scope in trade for a watch years back so I threw it on for giggles with a UTG side mount. EDIT: For those that are curious it is a US Optics 1.5-6x scope, no model number is on it and it has some sort of cable coming off the other side to connect to something. The reticule also lights up red, however, the batteries are bad.

I like it, no complaints. I do not have much experience with side mounted optics as a comparison.

I was looking at the low profile Kalinka but found a good deal on a ultimak so I went that route.

Matching #s, orig. barrel Polish UF built on an NDS receiver (thanks 69Mach1)!

I took it to the range last weekend and was VERY pleasantly surprised at how loud it was - just about as loud as my AMD65! But, even better, was how solid it shot (pretty damn accurate and groupings were tight).

I'm definitely looking forward to building more (with hopefully me doing more of the building LOL!).
