Default i need of land to shoot 1000plus yards

i was wondering if anyone has or knows a place (land) i can start learning long distance shooting. i have a christmas gift in the form of a savage 110 ba in 338 lupua with a nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 scope, so im a very happy hubby. i will be grateful for any help. im located in sacramento county and willing to travel. im very clean and corteous. i leave nothing behind, not even the brass. i have a marine sniper who will be teaching me so by no means will it be unsafe or lack of trained guidence. thanks for your time.
