Default Surefire X300 Ultra 500 Lumen Weaponlight $209.30 shipped

http://www.botachtactical.com/sux3ul.html

YMMV, but all my experiences with Botach have been positive.

If you don't mind getting your shipment few months after you placed the order or extremly poor customer service
Botach will be the company for you

Talked to Surefire and none of these have been sent out to any distributers yet. Botach has none of these and won't for quite some time.

Perhaps the upside will be a price drop on the standard X300.....

Surefire reps have said they have not even shipped any yet and also that Botach is not an authorised Surefire dealer.

Buyer beware.

Not saying they aren't genuine, just relaying what Surefire reps have said they are not an authorized dealer and aren't known for their customer service. Plenty of great Surefire dealers out there with great prices.

Can anyone shed any light as to whether anyone has received a new ultra? I'm in the market, but don't want to wait 90 days to get one.

Ultra's are not out. Also what everyone says about Botach not being a Surefire dealer is true.

Other dealers have them on order.

Botach is out, but they are the cheapest out there. They also didn't have any ETA on when more will come in, but did say they will honor that price and ship it out once it comes in. Personally, I've never had any issue with them, but then my shipping address is like 10 min away from their shop so that might make a difference.

I spoke to a rep at Surefire and they said the X300 Ultras just started to ship, so only a limited number or retailers have received them so far. She couldn't look up any stock in-hand numbers for her retailers, but just said to keep checking with them since Surefire is getting them out now.

FYI, LA Police Gear (which I've ordered from numerous times and have never had an issue with them) is also selling them for $209. However, with shipping and sales tax, it came out to about $230 OTD.

I placed my order anyways since I trust ordering from LAPG. And like Botach, they're awaiting on a shipment of the lights from Surefire (I'm sure most larger retailers will get them in at about the same time and start shipping to everyone).

Do they have them in stock or selling pending receipt of the lights?

if you've placed an order with botach i would cancel them and opt out for this instead:

http://www.botachtactical.com/kzsux3ulsito.html

for the same price it includes a KZ AR15/M16 Sight Tower Combo Mount

I ordered an X300 Ultra form Botach about 7-10 days ago for an upcoming night match I have this Saturday. 3 days after I ordered I got a backorder email. What kinda crap is that? The old bait and switch if you ask me. These guys just lost my business.

Botach has been mostly bad news I would order elsewhere for sure. On another note I have the new x300 Ultra and its flipping amazing !! 500 true lumens the only downside is now having to find new holsters because my Tlr2 is gonna be a backup!

Every place I've called (Botach, LAPG, BatteryJunction, BHphoto, OpticsPlanet) all said the same thing..... current batch is delayed until early/mid November from Surefire do to some production issues. So IMO, just order from the cheapest place and hope that you receive it before Thanksgiving.

But at the same time, I've also read that these are supposed to be "new & improved" over the 1st batch that went out last month, as those were pretty much samplers sent to a select number of distributors.

LAPG says in stock, i ordered it two days ago so we'll see soon

http://www.lapolicegear.com/surefire...tra-light.html

Using code Candycorn1 (13% off) plus shipping and tax it was about $205, however I ordered a bunch of other crap too so my order was much more

LAPG has never screwed me... A + for them so far

Got mine from LAPG yesterday in the mail. They credited back to me $32 since they honored the candycorn promo code. Came out to $201 shipped.

Interested in getting one from a reputable outfit which has them in stock. No rush but by month end would be great.

I got mine last week, I don't know if it seems 2.5x brighter than the standard x300...

I did earlier tonight. I was running some dirty Federal 9mm FMJ, but with the light on in the dark indoor range, the smoke would glare quite a bit in the light. I was able to see past it and still see & hit the target, but the it was considerably noticable.

I'll probably play around with it some more at an outdoor range in complete darkness (except for the moonlight) to see how it works out. But from my initial testing, no problems with putting light onto the target or the surroundings, but just that the light catches the powder/smoke from the muzzle.

My TLR-1s never did this, using the same gun and same ammo.
