Come home to Papa!! It seems the original owner hadn't cleaned the gun in years. I spent several hours cleaning powder residue off the face of the cylinder, the cylinder flutes, near the forcing cone and the top strap. It was really caked on there and that was the longest I had ever spent cleaning a revolver. Still not 100%, but getting there.

I can't get enough of my Smith & Wesson Model 24-3. It likes the expensive
stuff, too: Winchester Silvertips. I replaced the original sights with XS 24/7
Express Big Dots and highly recommend them for any EDC shooter. I had mine
installed by the wizard 'smith at Bain & Davis Gun Shop in San Gabriel, CA, and
I can't recommend their friendly service enough.

Default Sorry for sale picture - got a 586

This gun is perfect. Seriously. I don't know what S&W used as blueing, but it looks like ceramic. 1988 or so, and just looks brand new... (sorry, but I seldom pop $$ for a really perfect gun). Revolver fever, it's hard to fight.

S&W 587 (Circa 1987) Came with the original wood grips which I have stored safely to preserve them and I put on a Hogue for comfort. I think she's pretty sexy.

Correct. Sorry about the typo.... I love her. She's as sexy as any out there in my opinion. I love the Blued finish S&W has. I'm more for subtle beauty than the flashy polished versions.

absolutely beautiful revolver! And it's the most accurate
revolver I own. It looks identical to yours. It came in a
walnut presentation case with blue velvet lining, a screwdriver
for the rear sight and a bore brush. Glass smooth action.
Got it brand new years ago. Try to find .41 magnum ammo now,
and if you can, the cost is ridiculous. But I love it!

No, I did a 1 second exposure with a 1st curtain flash. So it would flash at the beginning then pull the trigger to catch the flash. Next time I have to remember to do it with a double action trigger pull.

Did you flinch, shoot it at the ground, or have a really low target?

Here is one you don’t see too often and are getting to be a ***** to acquire. Luckily for me, was able to get a hold of one a little over a week ago, pretty sweet specimen with a really light ring on the cylinder. Original owner put less than 100rds through it then pretty much stored it away from what I was told and looks it also. Even came with the original receipt of purchase…
