I'll check those places in Rancho Murietta this weekend and see if they can handle 10-12 of us dropping in. Not much else anywhere close that I've seen, but I'll look.

Would love to make it and meet some new shooting buddies! I'm new to Folsom after moving back to CA after living in AZ (America) for 7 years. Will be in WA though for work. Next time though for sure!!

If everyone is looking for somewhere to eat, there's a good Chinese food place in Ione. There's also a Subway, Pisanos Pizzeria and Don Luis Mexican Restaurant. I've never heard about Ione Steakhouse though. I'll ask around and see what people think of it.

For those who didn't see the other notes about the swap meet:

We don't want to try to drag all our stuff out and find a place to display it so we will have a 'hidden' or 'catalog' swap meet. Meaning bring everything you want to sell/trade but leave it in you vehicle and we'll have print outs of everything people have.

PM me a list if items you want to sell, OR things you want to buy, and I'll compile a list and distribute copies when we arrive. If you find something you're interested in you can find the seller/buyer check out the items one on one.

I'll PM the list to everyone confirmed, at least 2 days ahead of time.

I'm getting the list of confirmed people from Lazyme so let him know if you will be attending.

See you all there!

Thanks ElDub! This is a great idea, I just need to put my list if stuff onto the computer and send it.

There are two PM lists I sent out because of the 25 person limit. I think I started to forward this idea to the remaining people but I have been in a thousand different directions and it never happened. I need to put together another PM before this weekend confirming a few things and this will be one of the items.

Thanks again ElDub!

Oh, ya...Everyone should remember to keep this to pieces, parts and items that do not require a FFL to transfer. We don't need any one taking this the wrong way and doing firearms deals in the back of their trunks. Thank you!

A copy of lists ahead of time would be superb, as I don't really carry any worthwhile amount of cash on me. At least I'll know that if there is something I might want, I can bring some money for it.

Check out the main thread to sign up!

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...99#post9570199

Saturday 10/27 at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center – Handgun and Rifle Ranges @ 9:00 a.m. (Range closes at 6 p.m).

WHAT: The shoot will follow the informal order of "Meet, Shoot, Eat". The "eat" portion this month will be at the El Gallo Bar and Grill, Rancho Murieta, on the patio if possible, starting at 12:30.

We’ll have some handouts, some stickers and other goodies.

HOW MUCH: Rifle and Pistol range fees, all day, $ 3 for members, $14 for non-members

WHERE: We’ll meet at the picnic tables between the office and the pond. This is where you will check in, and tell us if you’ll join us for lunch. Once you’ve checked in with us, for handguns or for rifles, go to the Range Office and sign in. Fees are for the full day, you’ll be given a wristband. There are no reservations. There is usually good availability at 9 am sharp. When you get on the range, look for the CalGuns Banner.

WHAT IF IT RAINS? : Generally, rain or shine. But subscribe to this thread and check it before you load your guns and go.

Sacramento Valley Shooting Center http://www.sacvalley.org/
15501 Meiss Road,
Sloughhouse, CA 95683 Phone; 916-354-96683
NOTE: The Center is located approximately 15 miles Southeast of the city of Sacramento. Do not use car based GPS or Internet/electronic maps for directions to the range as they often have you entering from Dillard Road. Meiss from Dillard is an unpaved, nearly impassible rock road. Use Ione Road to approach Meiss Road.

Address for El Gallo Bar and Grill:
El Gallo Bar and Grill
7277 Lone Pine Dr #C (Rancho Murieta Plaza, behind the Post Office in the back)
Rancho Murieta, CA 95683 Phone 916 354 8729

Competition
No formal competitions this time, just fun. Tell us what kind of competitions you’d like and we’ll try to make it happen in future.

Guns Allowed At range:
Handguns at common handguns calibers
Rifles:
Shotguns – on the shotgun ranges only

Safety: There are cease fires every 15 minutes. Eye and hearing protection are mandatory for anyone on the range. Please be aware that all firearms on the public range MUST use an empty chamber indicator during cease fire periods. Bring your own or buy one at the office for a nominal fee.
