Default Pirate's weapons...

From a Russian site that detailed Russian navy operation to retake a tanker held by pirates.

If you think your little scratch on your finish is bad... check out these working bad-boys. Steel and salt water just doesn't mix that well.

Dayum. I don't know what else to say. I guess it is a good thing they don't take care of their guns.

We captured some Mujahideen that had weapons that weren't as bad but close to it and they all functioned flawlessly.

Does that RPG launcher have a rupture in the side of it? Does your team now need to be told to watch out for side blast as well...?

Hahahahaha... I'd like to see a commercial for AK's with a skinny pirate looking at a table with a WASR and one of those on it, and picking the rusted shut one and grinning. Then a title card that says "For Life".

I have to try that method of attaching the front of a sling to the gun via pubic hair.

No it is just the fiberglass guard, that thing probably still works like a Champ, now the warheads themselves are another question.

We captured one that was in worse looking shape but my Iraqis said that it was still just as deadly as one fresh outta the cosmoline.

Depends on how many we find. If we capture them off bodies/captured Taliban there will generally be less than if we find a cache. Most of the time we'll blow them in place but if we have ANA or ANP with us they take them (most likely to be recirculated back into enemy hands shortly after). The Chechen weapons and gear we recovered off bodies we took back to our COP though. They had good, modern equipment with plate carriers and all.

During my time in the CG, I was with the MSRT, we had some recoveries that look almost that bad... still went boom and wizz... a 7.62 either from a rusted POS or a gleaming new Arsenal, is still just as deadly...

Back in the day when I was in the Corps, 10 minutes in an AmTrack and my M1 looked just like that. I swear, you could actually watch the rifle rust. ...I hated AmTracks, ...

Even some dirty motor oil would do the trick, but it seems that insurgents/pirates are just plain negligent with maintaining their weapons. Which is why the AK rifle works so well with them... rusted or not, they'll go bang every time!
