I'm going to do some testing by lowering the jump next. Wish I had a chronograph. I'd like to see what the difference between the max loads and those middle 4 loads would be with my 20" barrel. I like to shoot this rifle out to 300+ yds and I don't know what those middle of the pack rounds can do at that range.
DO WHAT I DO- RENT ONE AT SAC VALLEY, ITS REALLY CHEAP . HOPEFULLY I WONT BE THERE TESTING MY LOADS WHEN YOU GO,

Thanks, I didn't know they rented those there. Are they easy to use? How far out do you usually set them up?

I asked about the chronograph when I went to Sac Valley friday, and they told me it wasn't available. They said someone shot it.

I swear it wasn't me. They're having someone look at it, but not sure when it will be available again. So if your looking to go out there to use it, Call First.

I'm not sure if I'm too far north...

Yuba City
Rifle: RCBS presses and dies for 7.62x54R and .223/5.56
Pistol: Lee Pro1000 presses for .40S&W and .45ACP. I also run .380 on the single stage press when I have time.

I've been reloading for about 5 years. I'm fairly proficient at it now. I was doing bench reloading until they put their foot down on it at my local range.

I typically purchase down in Roseville (Sportsmans or Discount Shooters Supply). Some guys at my local range buy X-Treme bullets in Nevada, so I sometimes pick some up through them.

I cast as well, so if anyone wants to learn, I'll offer some help if they PM.

They are very easy to use. You set it up and shoot between the whiskers. It puts the number up. We set them up around... maybe 10 yards out at most. The closer you are, the less likely you are to destroy it.

Stockton (San Joaquin County)

Dillon: XL650 / RCBS Rock Chucker
Measure/Scale: RCBS ChargeMaster Comb
Trimmer: Forster

Bullets: Rainer, Berrys, Sierra Matchking
Powders: Win 231, IMR 4064
Primers: Winchester or Federal

I currently reload the following, at the moment.

9mm

I reload 9mm and .223 on the Dillon and the .308 on the RCBS

I shop all over, most of my bullets I get online. Powder and primers I pick up at the gun shows when ever I am traveling by them. I would like to participate in a group buy at some time.

Valley Springs. Have Been loading 4 years or so. Started with a Dillon 550 loading .223 .40 .45 and now .380 and couldn't imagine going to a single stage press. Only reason I would Is for precision rounds. And every time I talk to people (old timers)
they always say I went backwards should of started on a single stage with pistol instead of progressive and rifle.

I use a Lee Classic Turret press, and am currently tooled for 9mm, 38/357, 45, 223, 30-06, and 12ga shotshell! I love reloading, and am trying to learn more everyday! I live in Rancho Cordova!
