Default C&R REMINGTON MODEL 37 RANGEMASTER TARGET .22 CAL , $900

[b]Make: REMINGTON
[b]Model: 37 RANGEMASTER
[b]Caliber: .22
[b]Location (city or county): CONCORD
[b]Price: $950b obo]
Will ship (Y/N): yes with insurance on your dime
[b]Other info: C & R

Old school competition target rifle; one of the best. Heavy bull barrel, with match target sights and target butt plate horn and palm rest.
Excellent trigger break, (and trigger shoe) and smoooth bolt action, set up with single shot "shoe" (you can place a 5 round magazine in there also).
Will come with hard case (plastic).

The magazine that comes with the rifle is a single shot "target sled". You can take it out and slide in a 5 round magazine, which I've seen on gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com

Being a bolt action it will shoot any ammo, but when I shoot silhouettes at 100 yards I use Ely (standard velocity) or Wolf subsonic "match target" amo.
Our club does shoot a competition at 200 yards with .22's and I use the Ely or Fiocchi high velocity for that (40 grains I think). These are solid point, but hollow points work well also.
I can give you some of each to try.

If you put a big 36X scope on this you would have the ultimate 200 yard squirrel killer.

Off the bench at the standard 50' for .22 target shooting this thing puts holes in holes till you are bored.

My daughter is getting into skeet shooting, so I have to clean out the safe to make room for her shotgun, otherwise I would never sell this gun.

Please PM me if you are interested. Not looking for a trade at this time (unless it's a 20 ga skeet/trap shotgun).

This is a C&R because of the age, so there is no FFL requirement for the transfer (cash and carry), but will need a copy of your
driver's license.

here are some pics of my Remington 37.

Manufacture began in 1940 and ended in 1954, so it's definitely C&R. Total number made was 12,198. The condition looks first class. If you were nearer to San Diego we would be talking business.

Yes, this is a really nice rifle, and all my friends that have shot this cant believe how nice the trigger is. I'm not saying "hair" trigger, but really crisp.

To answer another question; Yes there are "scope mounts" on the top of the barrel for those older really long scopes of the period. And no, I dont have one of those scopes.

OK thanks for clearing up the C&R sales. So I think all you need to do is bring a copy of your current driver's license. thanks

Has the butt pad been modified and can that addition be removed without leaving marks?

The "hooked" butt pad is slotted into the butt area and held in with 3 little bolts.
Easily removed (for transport in the hard case) and you could slip in a filler piece if you wanted to not install the hooked butt.
