Default Armscor Produced----Taylors & Co. 1911 W/ VZ FRAG Grips

I purchased this 1911 about a month ago. Taylor's & Co. 1911 produced by Armscor. I put a EGW Barrel bushing, S&W Hammer, Wilson's Drop in Grip Safety (Beaver-tail), Extended Slide Stop . Some people may criticize putting expensive grips on a 450 $ 1911 made in the Philippines, but I love the way they look. The grips are VZ ETC FRAG G-10 Black Cherry. Pistol performance is amazing. Put 100 round through it using Act MAGS . Flawless. I really need to change the mainspring housing to a flat piece. Not really feeling the arched. I know the finish of the pistol could be a lot nicer, but again I plan on refinishing it.

Here are some pics. Let me know what you think.

Nice looking 1911 and I think your upgrades look good as well.

Good job making it your own.

I've been eyeing those Black Cherry VZs. I've been thinking about putting a set on my SA 9mm seeing the pic of yours has made up my mind. Oh and sharp looking gun. There's nothing like putting your own personal touches on a gun to make it yours.

That Armscor gun is just about as good as any other in that class + some. I have one branded from the late great Charles Daly co. and it's my everyday goto gun never misses a beat.

Those grips look great on that gun. The matte finish is perfect for the finish on the metal. Dresses it up a bit without adding any flash. Very nice, IMO.
